BroadstairsR 2,273 Posted September 29, 2017 And we still mourn the failure of RVW.http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41430237 I was one of those who was desperate that we should sign this player and there were many of us.For all the ''wrongs'' surrounding the Naismith signing there were ''rights'' about us not pursuing McCormack to the ultimate. It was reported that we were interested I believe.Perhaps the RVW experience was a lesson well learned or would have been if we had not splashed out quite so much on Naisy. At least SN appears to actually care. (Cannot do an instant click on Chromebook.)
lincoln canary (& Golden Coppel) 0 Posted September 29, 2017 Massive bullet dodged... to think Neil was being backed for this transfer too, when many predicted it was a bad move. Crazy, and very lucky!
Bethnal Yellow and Green 2,424 Posted September 29, 2017 Yup, missing out on McCormack and getting Pritchard was such a huge positive ultimately. Although things may have worked out under a different manager/club etc. you have to assume that McCormack wouldn''t have set the world alight at Norwich and would be another expensive mistake of the previous manager.Luckily Norwich have someone in place now who would almost certainly not make such a stupid deal. djc 0 Posted September 29, 2017 Whilst we appear to have dodged this bullet, Ross now gets to live in sunny australia living on the southern coast and playing a lower level of football where he should do quite well. Its not all bad for him is it!
alex_ncfc 686 Posted September 29, 2017 Indeed djc, somehow he has managed to come out of this quite well, certainly a better deal than Villa got. Bullet well and truly dodged.Having said that, maybe the Norfolk lifestyle was what he needed!
Guest Posted September 29, 2017 And RVW scores in the Champions League. And McCormack was successful with Leeds and Fulham. There is no guarantee with any signing. And you win out with Holt and lose out with Naismith (so far).
