It's Character Forming 1,160 Posted October 5, 2017 What depresses me most about Naismith is when he does something decent and creates an opening, it almost always ends in an anti-climax, like he''s put through on goal but fails to finish, or phe lays the ball through and gets the return pass played into a good position, but one of the opposition overtakes him so fast it looks like Naismith is hardly moving at all. It comes down to the amount we paid for him (in transfer fees + wages). At least with RVW we were able to loan him out and get money back for his wages. With Naismith it''s been a huge outlay on both, and from what people say, we''re still paying him basically a Prem wage through to the end of next season after our parachute payments will have run out, and that''s what really rankles for me. We''ve signed plenty of worse players over the years, but financially I think this is the worst deal we''ve ever done. I always try to be optimistic about our players but I''ve pretty much lost hope of him ever coming good, TBH.
