OldRobert 38 Posted July 28, 2017 Poor little boy has just lost his fight. What a brave little fighter. Rest in Peace now, free of pain. Probably one of the saddest stories of late.
Van wink 2,994 Posted July 28, 2017 Yes so many legal and moral points to be considered but at the end of it all it''s a baby''s life, RIP.

kick it off 1,948 Posted July 28, 2017 Poor kid. Bradley Lowery was tragic enough but at least he had chance to experience things, this kid never had anything but a hospital room and the love of his incredibly brave parents. RIP Charlie.
Lessingham Canary 99 Posted July 28, 2017 Agree with all already said, thought his parents were brilliant throughout and really fought the battle of their lives, sad that Great Ormond Street got some adverse comments, they were in a no win situation.RIP Charlie. djc 0 Posted July 28, 2017 The parents have raised such a huge amount of money towards trying to find a cure or miracle, yet some court room decides they wouldnt even allow them one more week to reach his 1st birthday. A sad end to a sad situation. I hope the parents find some peace in time, and can stick together through tough times ahead.
Crafty Canary 495 Posted July 28, 2017 GOSH is a world famous paediatric hospital. The idea that their doctors would try to impede a viable treatment is risible. The parents will naturally cling to any hope or belief that will preserve their baby''s life however the cruel truth is that in such cases the medical staff will be more objective. A sad, sad case for all concerned.
Hairy Canary 668 Posted July 28, 2017 Agreed Crafty. A tragic situation and my heart goes out to the parents but the court decision was ultimately based on what was best for the boy.
wcorkcanary 4,329 Posted July 29, 2017 The tabloids and social media created a sh1tstorm around this very tragic case, of course his parents wanted to do everything they could for him , who could blame them.
