bailojnr 0 Posted January 13, 2004 Zivkovic to Norwich? A man without a club who''s wages could be affordable (as he is currently out of a job). A player with his experience could provided good competition for places at the back. Does anyone know more on this player?

Archie 0 Posted January 14, 2004 on about 10,000 a week at Portsmouth, even if we get him to about 5,000 i don''t think it would be worth it. hes unlikely to come having played for bayer leverkusen in the 2002 champions league final
DumbleDelia is Magic 0 Posted January 14, 2004 I''m at Uni in Portsmouth and apparently his ''fallen out of favour at the club'' (after only being there 6 months!! I don''t think a club struggling in the Prem would let go of a recent defensive signing unless he was a real prat
Mook 0 Posted January 14, 2004 Redknapp said yesterday he was disappointed with the players performances, and his ATTITUDE. I can''t see worthy going near anyone like that - and he''s foreign, so that definitely rules him out as far as Worthy''s concerned. I know Svensson''s foreign, but we must have the least foreign players of any team in the country!
Scot the Canary 0 Posted January 14, 2004 Foreign...........mmm..........let''s see...........Malky, Holt, McVeigh, Mullers, Roberts, Brennan, Svensson.........to name but a few..........now is that half the team or not!!!!Only joking, Mook....................... Mook 0 Posted January 14, 2004 Ok oK! Non-British players, I obviously meant! But really, although in the heat of the battle we rely on that British core, when we have to break down eleven men behind the ball couldn''t we do with a bit of continental flair? Just a little bit? 0King Juan of SpainddMMyyyy0Falseen-USTrue 0 Posted January 14, 2004 I always hoped Libra could do that... he promised SO much. Never mind. Another chap would have been De Blassis - remember him? Although he never really fitted in, I kind of thought that was because he was one step ahead of the rest of our players and they were too slow to read his game. Let''s face it, Milligan and Carey were hardly ''flair'' players..
Mook 0 Posted January 14, 2004 Yup, I thought the same. De Blassis (or "Durrblazee" as Roy used to call him) was a cut above anything else we had at the time. Libbra was great on the ball, but terrible without it. De Blassis had vision and read the game well. What I wouldn''t give for a midfielder like him now, in the same vein as Crooky. Sat back, read the game, broke up the attack then played an intelligent pass.As much as I love our current centre-mids workrate, the "headless chicken" is a dance I''d rather see less of at Carrow Road. We just need someone to play that killer pass - with Hucks up front to latch on to them, I''m sure we''d scare most teams.
Ark 0 Posted January 15, 2004 My mate was saying a similar thing about Cedric Anselin the other day. He reckoned the other players on the pitch just couldn''t understand the Frenchman''s genius. You do have to wonder... Afterall, he moved from lighting up the french league at Bordeau (and as an under-21 international) to warming a place on the bench for the Norwich reserves!I think Norwich simply don''t play a flair game at the moment. It''s all about gutsy, battling performances. We may be able to outclass the smaller clubs in the division but, in all honesty, player for player I''d say we''re not even close to the West Hams, Sunderlands and even West Broms of this world at this moment in time (especially in midfield).
