Leyton Orient and Blackburn

Recommended Posts

Just watched a Leyton Orient fan video when they got relegated out of League 2 , absolutely heartbreaking. Going for promotion to the championship not so long ago.The Italian chairman lives in a 25 million pound house in London and the players /staff/contractors haven''t been paid in months. Then there is the foreign ownership Blackburn shambles. Two famous clubs like that going down the swanny. We should be thankful .

Agree. Two ''names'' in football ....nice to own when you have no emotional connection but just a financial investment terrible for the real fans.

Chelsea and Man City are both under foreign ownership. i bet their supporters are all disappointed how that''s worked out for them, with neither of their clubs being relegated this year! Perhaps their owners couldnt understand the F.A. Memo stating all foreign owned clubs must be relegated, to allow for little old nice clubs with really old nice owners.

This has gone round in circles continually for the last ten years. Someone mentions clubs that fail while others mention those that succeed. A comprehensive study would be great. Or maybe just one of clubs similar to us. I don''t think we are comparable to Orient, Chelsea or Man City TBH. Blackburn may be in a group that includes us. As may Southampton.

There is something to be said for an owner who has a genuine affinity for the club. Given the spectacular amounts of money spent by Man City on players and managers would you say they have been successful?, they should be winning the Prem every season and going further in the Champions League.....

This is the great conundrum you need an owner that will constantly throw money at failure like man city to be regarded a success. We arent established anywhere so in our terms a foreign owner is a risk as we aint getting an Arab that has a never ending oil well so it''ll more likely be someone like a venkys or short term American. It could work it could fail who knows.
