Made up for him at his home club.  Imagine one of our young players going off to a bigger club, suffering an almost career busting failure and then returning to fire us to an FA cup final win. That is what RVW has done.  Congrats to him!

Good man. Clearly has something. Just not the attributes to be playing up top on his own in a team fighting relegation in the English premier league. Even if quite a few of those sides aren''t probably even English championship standard.
James Vaughan

League 1 with Bury

24 goals

Same level of football
I''m sure Feyenoord, Ajax, Eindhoven, FC Utrecht, AZAlkmaar, FC Twente, might disagree with that. Anyhow, the level is immaterial because what is being celebrated is his return to success after having had an almost career busting few years.

Failed in England, failed in France and failed in Spain

3 decent teams the rest lower championship at best, Dutch football has never been in a worse state, why do you think the national team can''t even qualify for a tournament?

36 year old Dirk Kuyt scored a hat trick today for Christ sake

English football didn''t suit him, happy for him though as he seemed a nice lad. Just a shame he''s our biggest ever flop!

We (CH) didn''t get the best out of him and we paid the price even though his best was way off PL level.

A single goal return belied what his better attributes.

Spot on DDD.

I''m pleased he''s scoring some goals but it''s a completely different style of football to England and there are some really, really poor teams on top of that.

Absolute dismal failure in England lacking any of the required attributes to make it in either the Championship or Prem.
