The forthcoming Championship season August 2017 to May 2018 and the results and our final league position......will be the true judge whether Webber/Farke and the NCFC board have got it right.......I''m just gonna (as the norm), continue to wander down to Carra and take my ''padded'' plastic pew and also (funds permitting) travel to the occasional away venture and see what occurs......Can''t blame the support if it all goes ''boobs skywards''......

Very true.  It''s always a relief though when a new manager is not simply an easy/cheap option such as Adams, Deehan etc.  Recently the managers we''ve brought in from outside have done pretty well at least at the start - Lambert (enough said); Hughton (did well for a season); Neil (also did well for nearly 12 months).  Clearly Webber is familiar with the BD setup but it''s not as if he''d gone looking at Farke unless he had been impressed with him.

Ultimately I had never heard of him until the reports on here.  As with AN, time will tell, but on balance I feel more optimistic about him than I did about AN at the comparable stage, partly because the SD/Head Coach structure means it''s less important that he''s not got the experience at this level.

I would certainly be happier with him than Rosler.

Rosler - heard of him as a player and has managed in England at varying degrees of success

v

Farke - never heard of him until last week and manages/coaches at a world famous and successful team in Germany, but has never managed in England.

Tricky call... Rosler feels a safer bet, but Farke is a calculated gamble..

Well spotted Morgan. Been a fan since the early 80''s and that extract from a classic Fall track seems pretty apt.

"He is not appreciated!"

PS: My avatar is from an artist who designed many a Fall album cover in the 80''s. Loads of things to explore in their back catalogue and playing a few of their tunes loudly after a NCFC loss helps me get back on the right track.

With Farke bringing his own staff with him it will spell the end for Irvine Kiely etc
If it is Farke and if he does bring any staff with him (neither a certainty yet as far as I know) then I notice that Edmund Reiner, his  "co-trainer" with the U-23s at Borussia Dortmund, joined the club on the same day Farke did. I am guessing that Reiner was either with Farke in his previous job at SV Lippstadt 08 or was headhunted by Farke from somewhere else. Either way it could suggest that Reiner might be arriving as well.
You read it here first (given that for Reiner read Riemer)...

Spoilt Victorian Child often runs through my mind when I look on here after a City defeat.

But then I am a 50 Year Old Man with the Gut of the Quantifier.

I loved the 1980 and 1981 singles-Fiery Jack, Elastic Man, Totally Wired and Casino Soul. Didn''t like much after that, and anything more recent just sounds like the same old same old.

I think Country on the click is great, Mountain Energi''s lyricism is so spot on. "I thought it was free!" Sorry to have hi jacked a football thread with love for Mr Smith!
