Graham Dorrans

Recommended Posts

not according to Paddy D on the front page; derisory offer of less than £500k rejected and clubs miles apart.

Does not scream loss wages at any cost, no deal better than a poor...

Yes, we should of course say " we really want £3m for him, but actually we''ll take anything you care to offer ..."

He will be at Rangers start of the season will be Undisclosed fee so nobody knows we sold him for around the 1.5 mil mark

he wants to join them and move to his boyhood club ,they want him , we need him off the wage bill and need funds to from the freed wages and the fee

Rangers hold 3 aces we hold one in this game of negotiating

If Dorrans really wants to leave then he will offer to go without loyalty bonuses etc which could be why the sale price won''t be high

Seems as if Rangers alleged financial position probably requires a cash up front deal. This sale may not happen unless another Club comes in.

we hold 5 aces - we hold his contract, which isn''t about to expire...

worst case scenario - we keep him, and he''s not a bad player to keep anyway!

I wonder if we could get them to take Dorrans n Naismith as a package instead? how much would we want?

Well you are right but heard of a busted flush

well we need to drop our wages but alot and when i mean a lot rumoured to be about 50 % by the end of the season if we do not go up

now we can keep all the high earners until next summer but say they do not wish to leave where does that leave us if we do not go up ???

players on wages we can not afford and losing money without kicking a ball in the 2018/19 season

if we do not shift these higher earners and do not go up we will go bust if we keep them all to the end of their contracts

we can not afford next season or this season to have these players on these wages !

Players with contracts beyond the end of next season:

To 2019: Naismith, Klose, Howson, Pinto, Wildschut, Dorrans

Jarvis, Jerome, Maddison, McGovern

To 2020: Pritchard, Oliveira

To 2021: Murphy x 2

You can see why the club is looking to offload Naismith, Dorrans, Jarvis and McGovern in particular.

If the reports have any credence about City making a bid for Rangers highly rated young midfielder, 18 yr old Barjonas, maybe a  swap would be an idea?..Dorrans for Barjonas, maybe with a few hundred thou thrown in either way?

Anyone else really bored with the Dorrans story. He wants to leave, he''s not that good, he won''t be missed, he''s one of the dwindling "I''m too good for the Championship" under-performers of the last few seasons. If rumours are correct, a fee has finally been agreed.Just go!

The owners could always get off their high horse and get fresh investment into the club! It''s 2017, not 2003, times are changing and Norwich are in a situation where they will get left behind

Hang on a mo'', what about Huddersfield. Great example of doing it without investment.

Quite right Indy - I think we''re doing just fine without any dodgy owner that sees us just as an investment, not a football club. Sunderland could quite easily become the next Portsmouth....

Have I missed something Rob, has he actually gone? Would be pleased if so as he wants to go and we need the fee and wages.

if the delay is related to Rangers coming up a guarantee of making the payment(s), its good to see that due diligence is taking place.

He''s a professional footballer, how much do babysitters cost these days? I''m sure if she felt like it they could afford a full time bleedin nanny.

Anyway not to worri, while a classy footballer he''s way to light weight when defending and tracking his man.
