Alex Moss 2,165 Posted March 20, 2017 Yep, very frustrating Woodman. Didn''t realise they play each other last day of season until today, lets hope we find the form that we are most definitely capable of as in some ways it''s in our hands. Sheff Weds have some tricky fixtures, as do Fulham, but ours are currently looking by far the toughest. I suppose the games against Leeds etc may see 3 points for us if they start taking it easy for the upcoming playoffs, I would imagine Wood etc will be wrapped up in cotton wool by that point. 3 points away at Villa is a MUST. Woodman 92 Posted March 20, 2017 You can''t help but look at individual games in a season (e.g. had we won the Sunderland home game last year). I try not to do that as there''s usually a game where it evens that thinking out (Man U away last season). But this season, there aren''t the positive results to compare the losses to - there''s just the poor away results at Barnsley, Rotherham, Wigan, QPR and Burton. Van wink 2,994 Posted March 20, 2017 Let''s not forget,it wasn''t that long ago that we had a reputation for playing much better against the top teams and stumbling when playing the weak ones. A return the that tradition please👍
Alex Moss 2,165 Posted March 20, 2017 It is true that we''ve not seen the best of these players so far this season. But despite both good and poor spells, the potential is still there to see off any of those teams in the upcoming games, and that in itself offers a glimmer of hope at least. Villa is a must win game - a slip up for SW and Fulham in the form of a draw or a loss in the same set of fixtures in 2 weeks time or so could shift momentum massively if one team starts to collapse (likely Sheff Weds, as they already are), and then it''s a case of beating Fulham at Carrow Rd then hoping we can just marginally better their results. Pressure can be wonderful thing when it''s no longer on you. You can''t beat a bit of Freddie And The Dreamers... OTBC
