TWTD is revolting

Recommended Posts

I like this one:

(excuse the appalling abuse of our language)

"so in a few years time they might be as sh1t as us ??"

happy days."

Except that we have no debt.

Own our ground and training ground.

Have home gates 10, 000 plus more than they do.
This is a good read as to why McCarthy still in his job and how Evans runs ITFC........

http://swissramble.blogspot.co.uk/2017/01/ipswich-town-stuck-in-moment.htmlI''m sure Town fans will find it very unhappy reading... OTBC
They really do seem to be in freefall. From the article......."The mix of Ipswich’s revenue has changed over the years with

broadcasting rising from 13% in 2009 to 33% in 2016 and commercial falling from

41% to 27%. However, match day remains the most important revenue stream at

40%, even though it has declined from 46%.
Unsurprisingly, this means that Ipswich are one of the

Championship clubs most reliant on gate receipts
. In percentage terms only four

clubs had a higher dependency in 2014/15: Nottingham Forest, Charlton Athletic,

Brighton and Millwall."
To bring it up to date, the average attendance at Poorman Rd last year was 18,959. This season it''s currently 16,554 (that''s a huge drop 0f 2,400) and falling (they also had the advantage of our visit this year compared with the previous season, which attracted their biggest gate of 23,350, and without which, would have seen an even bigger drop in ave attendance). To compound the problem, they''re expecting to lose 2-3,000 of their 12,500 season ticket holders next season so gates of 12/14,000 will be the norm.Still, they do have a very rich owner/investor.

They are one of the most vulnerable clubs in the entire league.

Massive debt, big loss annually, declining support, dilapidated ground that they have to rent

They want Evans to stop subsidising them now.

I wish he would.

Bye, bye Town.

It''d be sad if they folded though, wouldn''t it? I mean, I''m no binner, but with them gone who would we have as a rival?

I like the fact that our game with them bumps up their takings significantly. They need us in this league...

Nothing going on City wise so just spent another " happy hour " on TWTD. Some of the threads on their season ticket renewals are hilarious.
