Chairman Manby

Recommended Posts

Chairman Roger Munby, lives in the same dream World as Worthy after reading his comments in the paper it is clear to me that football club is in even worse state than most people think.

This club has small minded incompetence from the top down. now’s the time to stop talking and stand up, and make big decisions for the better of the club.

If the chairman and the broad can not do this then they can go with Worthy down the road.

Last year they came out before the season started little old Norwich have budgeted to bottom of the league

(wrong attitude its shows an inferiority complex) so last year as far as board where concerned Norwich over achieved last year.

This year the talk of ambition has been quoted as a top two finish, but what has the chairman and board  budgeted for this term.

Well that’s easy to see a smaller squad with less class than last year and more games, come December when games come thick & fast we need to win every game because of our poor start, along with our great tradition of going in pre Christmas/New Year slump its going to be a long winter.

" If the chairman and the broad ..... "

That''s one way of describing Delia I suppose.

" come December when games come thick & fast "

errrr, not really

so far

August - 7 games in 23 days

September - 6 in 17 days

in december/new year we have 30 days to play 7 games

still, why bother with accuracy when you''re trying to prove a point

The article just goes to show we have a Chairman who knows didley squat about football , if going from the Premier league to the bottom of the Championship is moving in the right direction i would hate to see us when we are moving in the wrong direction. As for finishing in the top two top comedy Mr Munby you should have your own tv show.

Now THAT''S a no-win situation...

- budgeting to finish bottom shows a lack of ambition

- saying we can still finish in the top two shows a lack of reality

So, um, what should he say then?

Bear in mind that:

- Jordan has given Palace fans his ''personal gurantee'' that they will win the league this season.

- Lee Carsley thinks Everton can still better their 4th placed finish last season

- Sunderland were where we are now at this point last season, and Palace were there the season before. I think what Munby has said is a lot more realistic!

yes but palace and sunderland didnt have deluded managers who seem to think that if the players run round long enough with good energy levels something will happen - sod the passing, forget that, just run round like headless chickens and comfort in the fact that despite defeat - we still ran round more than the opposition. palace and sunderland also had something we do not - TACTICAL KNOWLEDGE FROM THE COACHES/MANAGER!

If he had made that statement before the season started you could have seen where he was coming from , most City fans expected a top two finish and at worse a top six. To come out with it now 10 games in and with us only having managed to beat a woeful Plymouth and a 10 man Ipswich is laughable .
