Dicky

Bunch of lefties

Recommended Posts

So left-wing Delia/MWJ are joined by Ed Balls and the club has no bl00dy idea how to compete in the (football) business world. Loads of money wasted, complete lack of direction, tough decisions not made when they should be - where have I seen that before. Give me a hard nosed businessman/woman who will get the club competing again, please, I''ve had enough of Delia''s little club, we''re a joke.

Most tenuous link to politics ever?
What an odd post.
Think most consider David McNally "hard-nosed"... we got relegated under him.

Don''t think it is tenuous link at all. Want the club to be run as a hard nosed business and don''t think that this fits in with the leftie ethos at our club.

If you don''t think that''s tenuous then you''re very odd.
So, is what you''re saying that all left wing people are "soft"? or that you have to be right wing to run a business properly?
Think Stalin may take issue with your first point and Alan Sugar/Richard Branson/Steve Jobs would probably have something to say.
It''s either a tenuous link, or a monumentally stupid one. You decide.

Wow, 4 exceptions, well done you. And yes, I do think capitalists run businesses more effectively and more ruthlessly than socialists.

4 exceptions that took me about 4 seconds to think of - there''s millions more, but I''m not going to sit here all night listing them for you. Google it if you''re interested. Jeff Bezos (Amazon CEO) is extremely liberal blahblahblah. Business skills and political perspective have pretty much nothing to do with each other, and that really shouldn''t need explaining.

Stating the obvious here, but both Delia and Michael are pretty successful in business, otherwise they wouldn''t be able to afford to own a football club. The football business part is what they appoint others to take care of. McNally did it well for a while, but it soured pretty quickly, showing that even the most hard nosed business types fail.

They own a football club they certainly can''t afford to fund it properly, if we don''t go up next year.

It''s hard to know where to start with this one.

So what you are asking for is for the club to be run to be sustainable and make as much profit as possible? Because that''s the aim of most businesses. The current board are doing a good job of the first - and achieved the second to a far greater extent than the vast majority of their competitors last season. Is that what you want? No, didn''t think so. Tw*t.

It''s got **** all to do with their politics, just as your post has **** all to do with logic.

So if we get the EDL on board to run the club does that mean we win the champions league?

Acording to the left wing propaganda I have recently had posted through my door the Green Party are the new Tories. I find this most confusing because I thought that New Labour were the new Tories. Obviously though I was wrong. What I''d like to know though is that if the Greens are the new Tories does that make the Lib Dems new Labour? And what ever happened to Screaming Lord Sutch and the Monster Raving Loony Party?I''m going to go for a lie down, wake me at the apocalypse.

Yeah, but it also means only a couple of hundred of us are going to be at the "parade" [:D]

Still going strong. Stood a candidate in the recent Stoke by-election.
Their candidate "The Flying Brick" had some interesting policies. Most of them more realistic than the vote leave propaganda was.
I don''t know how old you are Dicky but the late great Sir Arthur was a leftie of great renown.
But Nutty, football has changed an awful lot since his days, not for the better, but money is much more important in the game now and we are being badly left behind by our current board mentality/ambition.

But Dicky, if it hasn''t changed for the better, then what you are advocating will make it even worse.

I would actually argue that a "leftie" is far better than a hardnosed capatilist for running a football club. Football clubs are notorious money pits, capatilists are only interested in maximising their return, those two things don''t align. Just look at how well that capitalist is doing down the road for what happens when someone uses a football club to enhance their business portfolio!

And back to the Chase era we go! No, politics has FA to do with running a football club. If Dicky knew anything about politics at all he would know that Ed Balls was highly respected by both ends of the political spectrum. However, this doesn''t necessarily bring success in the football world and I''m drifting towards the ''it''s about time Delia moved on camp'' but not because of her politics.

Feeling a bit insecure Dicky? Called a racist or bigot by a ''leftie'' recently were we? Those bloody snowflakes dogooders

Racist, bigot - isn''t it great that everybody who doesn''t hold left wing views is one of them. People like you are the reason that the left will not gain power again in the foreseeable future.

To add to the confusion, last week we were told that the SNP would win the vote at Holyrood, because of the Scottish Greens. Yuck, imagine having to eat Scottish Greens. No wonder all the sweaties live down here.
