7th Place Promoted ?

Recommended Posts

Looking at the reporters other stories on the site it seems he very fond of ''exclusives''. Most of these stories follow the ''if this happens then it''s possible that this could happen'' model. This one says that the possible new owners of Reading have previously failed in a bid to buy Hull City as the Premier League didn''t like their business model. The possible take-over at Reading has been OK''d by the EFL and the business model is not the same as the Hull bid. The reporter puts 2 and 2 together and makes five by insinuating that as they''ve been turned down before by the Premier League it could be that may be turned down again even though the circumstances are different. This would (according to him) result in Reading being denied promotion to the Premier League. It''s a fanciful notion but God loves a tryer.

Reading are s**t and do not have a hope of winning the playoffs in my view. They looked rubbish when they beat us away as well. We should have been out of sight in that game. How they have stayed in the top six all season is a mystery. Indeed the quality of the sides in the playoff places is generally very poor and it should be a source of considerable embarrassment to the club that these sides are above us.

Would be a bit harsh on the players, manager and supporters.
