Peter Gates 0 Posted September 27, 2005 Small depressed fracture, may need mask to play, sounds to me like he should have come off on Saturday, somebody is incompetent either Worthy (which we all know) or the medical staff. At least we now know one of the players was depressed Saturday night. At least we now...
He wanted to play on and the medical staff gave him the OK. It is no ones fault and no one risked his health. Deano (like all players) is insured against career ending injuries and if they thought that him playing on would seriously harm him they would have taken him off. He is at the very least insured for the price of his transfer and there is no way anyone at the club would want to kiss goodbye to £4m or endanger the player. Alan 0 Posted September 27, 2005 Are they insured against injury. The premiuns would be pretty high.

nobbyg 0 Posted September 27, 2005
Are they insured against injury. The premiuns would be pretty high.
The other reason for having a medical when you by a player. First being that he is fit to play football the second being to ensure he can be insured.Like being made to have an MOT the day before you sell your car. Darren Eadie and Leicester will have "earnt" cash from him retiring. Nothing can replace playing or losing a player but does keep Eadie in crazy clothes and stupid haircuts. Ark 0 Posted September 27, 2005
Don''t let him take penalties
One of my contacts inside Carrow Road tells me that he was struck directly on the "cerebalum penaltoid", the part of the brain responsible for aiming balls at targets from 12 yards.
