Graham Paddons Beard 2,352 Posted February 11, 2017 I reckon that''s the best volley I''ve ever seen at Carrow Road. Drops out of the sky, hits the top corner, two keepers wouldn''t save it. Watch his technique. Unstoppable. Thought it deserved a thread of its own. A very good evening to you all.
Lessingham Canary 99 Posted February 11, 2017 Yep, if it was a Manure or Chelsea player it would be shown 500 times this weekend and talked about for the rest of the season.
morty 0 Posted February 11, 2017 Agreed.I would marry that goal and have children with it.
Lessingham Canary 99 Posted February 11, 2017 Bet it looked even better from the Barclay.
Rogue Baboon 0 Posted February 11, 2017 Somebody at half time said that if Neymar scored it people would be talking about it for weeks, have to agreeIncredible technique
king canary 7,455 Posted February 11, 2017 That goal and me are going to get a room at the bus station travel lodge and absolutely go to town on each other.
hogesar 9,502 Posted February 11, 2017 Actually Lessingham I sit third row back just behind goal of lower barclay and thought Hoolahans was better at first....but having seen the replay of Howsons it was immense.
Lessingham Canary 99 Posted February 11, 2017 Hogesar, did you see Hucks score at the National Hockey Stadium v MK Dons? an awesome volley, which this one is on a par with.
king canary 7,455 Posted February 11, 2017 Howson''s looked bloody gorgeous from the South Stand.
Capt. Pants 4,092 Posted February 11, 2017 Both feet off the ground when he hit it, stunning goal. All five were pretty tasty tbh.And we beat the scabby welsh in their own backyard. Tops weekend!!
yoda 0 Posted February 11, 2017 I''ve been going to CR for 40 years and i have never seen a better goal than that
ricardo 7,239 Posted February 11, 2017 In a game of great goals it was certainly out of the top drawer. Wonderful technique.[Y]
Crabbycanary3 994 Posted February 11, 2017 Well Yoda, you should of seen the one from 41 years ago................Seriously brilliant volley by JH. Have seen some stills of him just connecting with ball, and that makes it seem even better.
lincoln canary (& Golden Coppel) 0 Posted February 11, 2017 It really is unbelievable. It''s an absolute stunner, the technique is better then perfect. Howson, Pritchard and Wes have to play every game for us.
lincoln canary (& Golden Coppel) 0 Posted February 11, 2017 Quite fitting really, considering the recent anniversary of that Fashanu goal. Is it better? I think it could be. But probably won''t be as remembered.
nutty nigel 7,351 Posted February 11, 2017 Fabulous goal. Will long live in the memory. Jonny Howson is still underated. I guess because he quietly gets on with his job. He was a huge miss earlier this season. If this goal gets him POTS it will be no more than he deserves.
Youre a melt 0 Posted February 11, 2017 Voted Sky''s goal of the day! A little trophy on its way to Jonnie I believe! Wessie also featured!
rock bus 836 Posted February 11, 2017 One of the best goals I''ve ever seen. The technique and skill required to hit ball falling from that height on the volley is unbelievable. If that had been scored by a more well known name it would have been lauded all over the world and be on every football show.Total class
Youre a melt 0 Posted February 11, 2017 Sky''s Soccer AM (such a shame its dying a slow death!) show next Saturday should in their Championship goals and Trekkers highlight packages just consist of all five of our goals today!
norfolkbroadslim 223 Posted February 11, 2017 Is Howson''s volley - http://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/competitions/championship/10764437/norwich-5-1-notts-forest - better than this one? - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDh8x2fbac0#t=0m16sAnother tasty volley here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Auo5dbsHugAnd another volley - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvWHKAse8dYSome other great goals at Carrow Road -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrwmWtbKN_ohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lbukNwUDRIhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dO11cu-N6f8https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Wk34X94Whk
GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary 1,655 Posted February 11, 2017 certainly one of the best I''ve seen at Carrow Rd......the best ever though would still be Goss'' away at Leeds in ''93. I was sat right behind it at the other end, and whereas Howson today had to catch it with the outside of his foot to cut accross the ball in order keep it below the bar....Goss caught it full on , with full power ,the fact it hit the underside of the bar on the way in also made it look better... Lessingham Canary 99 Posted February 11, 2017 Still like that Safri goal against the Geordies, but Howson''s eclipses that.
SeattleCanary 0 Posted February 11, 2017 Wasn''t there today… But I was there for Safri''s against the Geordies, so that still remains the best goal I''ve seen at Carrow Rd in person. What a goal though!
djc 0 Posted February 11, 2017 Some beauties on the links!i''d take a repeat of Safri''s goal and match result next Tuesday.
lincoln canary (& Golden Coppel) 0 Posted February 11, 2017 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bJlTSYE7XAsI loved this goal from Ashton. Pretty infamous game too!Howson has scored some belters. Stoke away, Man City away another two.
Knock off Nige 1 Posted February 11, 2017 Howson''s today has to be amongst the best I have seen. Watching from the River End it was amazing following it in. Then we had the other four, all great goals. Where have this team been!
Nuff Said 4,938 Posted February 11, 2017 IMHO, Jonny is one if our best kept secrets and we want to keep him that way. Otherwise, he''ll end up going somewhere like Stoke for a miserable £10 million or so. Ssshhhh!!!!

Also not forgetting that it was part of one of the most complete Norwich displays ever, winning 4 - 0 away at the reigning league champions!Goss certainly had a ferocious hit on him - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-psiElPI1I
AJ 1,218 Posted February 12, 2017 His goal seems to be generating a lot of interest on social media. And rightly so, cracking technique.

I remember poor old David O''Leary in Leeds defence who must have been about 35 being absolutely roasted by Sutton,Fox and Robins......it was probably one of his last ever games before retiring
