Guest Posted December 30, 2016
I''m not. Journalists are supposed to be balanced. Most of the twaddle they are coming out with is ill informed blogging, rather than actual journalism. They should ask themselves why Delia decided to give her interview to Henry Winter and Moxey refused the edp an interview at all.Prejudiced, biased reporting could perhaps be the reason.
Sorry but that belief is naive to say the least. When has their been balanced unbiased reporting? It''s for Hollywood. Woodward and Bernstein were not Redford and Hoffman. The Mail derides anything socialist and the Mirror anything Tory.Remember, never let the truth get in the way of a good story. Coq au vin 0 Posted December 30, 2016 Nigel, the Ferryboat was one of the best live gig venues in the city alongside The Marquee and got closed down because people complained about the noise in the riverside flats opposite. I played there a lot back in the day and was such a great crowd! Any frequenter or advocate of that place will always be alright in my book! 😊
The Big Bad Wolf 0 Posted December 30, 2016 Mr Bailey is good, but I wish he could get the name of our manager correct in his video clips. It''s Alex, not Alec. Hopefully he won''t have to say it too much longer.
nutty nigel 7,528 Posted December 30, 2016 Indeed Morgan. I think the pink pool table was years before. Hard to remember. I do remember Fag Ash Lil playing the old joanna in there way back in the day. Although it wasn''t open at all in my young drinking days. Anyway, had an infamous landlord for a time in the 80s..... Spillay 180 Posted December 31, 2016 Good to see Michael Bailey getting some well deserved praise, always enjoyed his video clips, articles and ofcourse his live text commentaries on the matches. He certainly made Sports Desk Pete look pretty rubbish in comparison!

Van wink 2,994 Posted December 31, 2016 The club has had an easy ride from the local press over many years. It''s pleasing that thier attitude has now changed and they are seemingly doing a better job. They have been quick to praise which is fine and welcome, but there has to be balance.
