If this is true about the 2 million if AN is sacked would this be paid in one lump or in installments, just thinking about possible tax payments, a hefty old tax bill on one payment of 2 million, but perhaps not so much if spread over a few years, which would not be so painful for both parties, I am sure somebody with some knowledge of these things would have the answer.

Indeed. So nobody actually knows if this possible payout is better or worse than buying out the remainder of his contract.
