Syteanric 1 Posted January 2, 2017 What''s the target for the new manager? If this isn''t acheived where do we go from there?
Move Klose 303 Posted January 2, 2017 Just needs to be a marked improvement on what we''ve seen in 2016 which shouldn''t be that difficult. Start seeing more of the younger players like Thompson, Maddison, Canos etc and phasing out the players who aren''t up for the fight anymore. Whoever gets it needs the summer transfer window to ship out those guys out of contract (Ruddy, Whittaker, Turner, Bassong, Bennett, Mulumbu, Lafferty) and the ones who don''t wanna be there and the big earners (Brady, Klose, Naismith etc). Syteanric 1 Posted January 2, 2017 Does he target promotion or is that beyond any manager with the hierarchy we have in place?
Move Klose 303 Posted January 2, 2017 I think play offs is definitely achievable, just not under the current coaching and management team. Think it would take one hell of a turnaround to gain promotion. Top 2 already sown up and sides like Derby, Villa looking strong and will strengthen in January. Van wink 2,994 Posted January 2, 2017 Ricky will turn this around, have no fear. The Ricky/Tom combo is the way of the future.
Cantiaci Canary 610 Posted January 2, 2017 The aim is to win the playoffs. If not ... at least we know we threw everything at it ... belatedly. From there - build the best squad possible with our finances and see what happens!
Syteanric 1 Posted January 2, 2017 Vanwink... that''s a scary thought isn''t it?
Lessingham Canary 108 Posted January 2, 2017 Ricky won''t put his neck on the line, it will be Hucks steps with Alan Irvine..... :-)
ZLF 335 Posted January 2, 2017 tbh the failure to challenge this season has ef all to do with the hierachy, just a failure of the coaching and playing staff. The aim for any new manager, the same for Neil if he stays, is to build for next seasons promotion challenge, improved results, a drilled defence and measured introduction of youngsters to see who is and is not up to it. Lewis DW 30 Posted January 2, 2017 If you''re expecting anyone other than Alan Irvine as the next manager then you are deluded... Moxey has an awful record of managerial appointments.
Year of the tiger 66 Posted January 2, 2017 Don''t want Alan Irvine as manager but he is a decent coach. Which is why it is so strange he has not been allowed to take a single coaching session on his own since he''s been here
norfolkbroadslim 225 Posted January 2, 2017 Irvine isn''t decent.
Horse Renoir 1 Posted January 2, 2017 I don''t think they have a replacement lined up. They''ll probably blame that on Moxey only being in the job a couple of months. It''ll be Irvine or Jackett and avoiding relegation will seen as a job well done by one of those two as with our board, all you have to do is barely keep your head above water to keep your job, seasonal objectives be damned.
