Rays Funds for the CSF with the Pink un Pickers Season 10 Week 23

Recommended Posts

Welcome PUPs to week twenty three

of our tenth Rays Funds season. This week we have JB in charge and making the

final selections for our accumulator. JB is Mr Reliable on these threads. After

the run of 5/6’s we’ve just had I’m confident that our fortunes are about to

change and that JB is the right PUP to take full advantage. Unlucky so far when

picking the final six JB has shown his quality with two previous wins when finalising

the Norwich selections. Let’s give him, all the help we can by giving our very

best selections from the games listed on Bet 365 or Bill Hill web sites that

are played on Saturday, Sunday or Monday of this weekend.

Making the final selections

for our cup game against Southampton we have Van Wink. Winky’s been an ever

present making selections since he joined us last season and has been on top

form the last few weeks so I believe is in the right place at the right time to

help us add to the presentation pot. You have a tenner to spend Winky, on the

suggestions from the PUPs and your own. You can split that in any way you

choose.

Thanks to the generosity of

Lessingham and Parma we added to the pot last weekend due to some kind match

ticket arrangements. I’m glad it rurned out to be such an enjoyable match.

Things do work out well sometimes. The presentation pot now stands at £1375.

Here’s that picture of our DS boys and girls with Michael Owen. I think it''s my favourite : -

Image may contain: 7 people, people smiling, crowd and outdoor

So now I’ll hand the thread

over to JB and Van Wink. Remember theres no pressure

because we are all going to be doing our best to help you to success. We all

stand together with the single aim of raising money for the Community Sports

Foundation and our fabulous Downes Syndrome boys and girls..

Good luck all you PUPs... take it away JB and Winky ... the thread is

yours.......[:)]....

Happy New Year PUPs, off to Cyprus this week with APOEL F.C. vs. Aris (home win).

For the City bet, we''re likely to see some fringe players so I''ll go for a long shot and Whittaker to score, any time.

All the best everyone!

Its a Saturday offering from the African Cup of Nations for me...

Algeria to beat Zimbabwe

And for the match bet, much as I hate backing against City, Saints to win and both teams to score looks tempting.

Best of luck JB, Van Wink and all you PUPs.

Aarrgghh...ok ok, I just noticed the African thing doesn''t start for another week. So its a handbrake turn to League 1

Bradford v Chesterfield - Home Win

Good luck.

Good luck everyone! This week I''ll tip Watford to beat Burton in the FA Cup. Watford have been struggling a bit of late, but should still have way too much for the Championship minnows.City game is a tough call, as we can''t be sure who will play so first/last goalscorer bets are a bit tricky. I''ll go with the draw at 12/5.
Hi Nutty, can you confirm when you had me down for ? don''t want to mess things by getting my weeks wrong, thanks.
That was a polite way of telling me I''d messed up. Really sorry buddy. My spreadsheet said something different to the rota. I''d love to blame the ''puter but I''m afraid it was me that entered the info. Winky must have been confused too!
What would you like me to do? Shall we try change it or would you be ok with February 11th for the home game with Forest?
Nutty, no problem, Feb 11th is fine.
Thank you buddy. You are a gent for sure.
And thanks again for the ticket arrangements with Parma. It was great to be able to add to the pot on a blank weekend. With hindsight I should have chosen the Derby game for last week''s thread so that was a silver lining for me too.

No problem for me, I hadn''t been expecting to make the selections but presumed I''d missed a previous post from Nigel, if you were expecting to do this one Lessingham that''s fine by me. Good luck to you and all the PUPs

My selection would be both teams to score 👍

Steering well clear of the banana skin that is the FA Cup 3rd round so I''m off to Germany. Bayer Leverkusen to beat Hertha Berlin please.

Our game is tricky as neither side will take it seriously. With two second string defences out there I''ll take both teams to score.

Kathy, I''m not absolutely certain but I believe the games in Germany don''t start again until later in the month.

A standout in my selections this week, and avoiding the scramble of the cup, is Scunthorpe vs Bury - home win.

Scunthorpe are in a mixed bag of form with just 1 win in their last six but still sit 3rd in the league with the chance to jump up to second at the weekend. Bury on the other hand, have lost 8 of their last ten, and have shipped a league high 49 goals so far this season. Meanwhile, Scunthorpe boast the highest goals scored and best goal difference. Scunthorpe HOME WIN. The odds currently aren''t too bad @1.5.

For the Norwich bet, it''s hard to tell what team will feature so I''d avoid direct player bets, and go for Southampton to win and both teams to score.

Yankee you are correct, that match isn''t until the 22nd! I still wonder if it would be better for us to have a winter break or not, but what would we do without boxing day football?!

Good luck all, here''s hoping we can go one better than last week...

I''ve been looking at the FA Cup and there is always a shock result and I genuinely think that this weekends "giant"(lol) killing will be

Ipswich v LINCOLN - AWAY WIN @ 11/2

For the City game, Russell Martin to score anytime @ 12/1
