The Slovenian international has also been linked with a move to Bristol City.

Former Nottingham Forest loanee Bojan Jokic has confirmed his next move is likely to be back to English football.

The Slovenian international has recently had his contract at La

Liga side Villarreal terminated by mutual consent and he is looking for a

new club this month.

Speaking to RTV Slo in

his homeland he admitted a potential transfer to Besiktas in Turkey was

not happening and that a move to England was most likely:

“Most of the options is to go back to England.

"More will be known in the coming days, open some stuff from

different countries. From Turkey, which has more than a pen, I did not

get any offers. It is true that they called me, but there was nothing

concrete, neither you there I did not want.

“You never know where to take your life, but is likely to remain in western Europe. Above all, I want a club where I will play.”

This will perhaps interest the likes of QPR, Norwich City and Bristol City.

TEAMtalk recently reported that three Championship clubs – Bristol City, Norwich City and Queens Park Rangers were all keen to sign Jokic during the January transfer window.

Norwich, who might be about to lose Martin Olsson to Swansea

City, would now be a very interesting prospect as they need a player in

the left-back position.
