Crabbycanary3 994 Posted January 21, 2017 The only thing we could come up with, was he was too short to avoid the manhandling by their No 2 (Doherty?)How Wes got the same punishment as the No 2, I doubt we will never know, because those numpty officials (especially the Lino), bottled it
Rogue Baboon 0 Posted January 21, 2017 We said this at the timeHe was fouled, got up, pushed over, got up and then 2 players seemed to be trying to push him over the advertising boards & he stood his ground
Van wink 2,994 Posted January 21, 2017 No idea.Appeared to be a lot of handbags going off and the ref just stood back and didn''t go to see what was going on.
hogesar 9,657 Posted January 21, 2017 No idea. Didn''t make sense but then again that ref was a scrawny little rat who was too scared to get anywhere near the actual incident..
AJ 1,218 Posted January 21, 2017 Perhaps he said something and was booked for dissent
Rogue Baboon 0 Posted January 21, 2017 Doubt it - the referee was too scared to get anywhere the incident for anybody to say anything to him!
Faded Jaded Semi Plastic SOB 1,023 Posted January 21, 2017 Think the assistant referee must have seen him do something in the "handbags" after the penalty award, as he signalled to the ref, who went over and hard a word before booking him....
Crabbycanary3 994 Posted January 21, 2017 Whilst it all kicked off, Doherty went chest to head with Wes (well he is taller than Wes!) then ''placed'' his forehead against Wes''s head, but refrained from leaning back and placing his head forward. The keeper was sent off, and then , after consultation with his Linesman, the Ref booked Wes. The Ref then walked away, to get the penalty underway, whilst we ''reminded'' the Lino that the No 2 (Doherty) needed sending off, after a chat with the Ref, from approx 15 metres away, they got together again, whilst we were trying to join in that particular conversation (!) and in the end, produced a card (wrong bleeding colour you numpty)That Lino had the best view and bottled it.
