All a bit amateurish really. Have to question why, after agreeing fees and presumably having contacted their agents, they pull out after coming to see the club.

Seems now that despite all the premiership money our facilities are not up to scratch, when previously we where told they attracted players.

Not to update your facilities when you have had 4 out of 5 years in the top flight hardly points to a well run club
.
What it points to is a club spending its money on players to try to stay in or get back to the Premier League rather than on facilities. Obviously you will have studied the accounts, and so know that the club, unlike Arsenal, say, has not been hoarding millions upon millions. The comparitively small profits we have made a couple of times have only been because we got relegated and so did not have to pay out bonuses that had been budgeted for. If the directors had done the opposite, and taken significant amounts from the playing budget to upgrade Colney, they would have been roundly denounced by fans.

Our board are like a socialist government...sitting on the money and "nationalising" instead of investing... it''s not everybody equally as much ... but everybody equally as little .

Players don''t get the wages proposed they would expect from a club that''s been in the PL and they expect facilities that are better than at other clubs ...

We will not attract any players of a higher level...forget it ... socialism has crept in ... they won''t be spending I assure you

As a "well run" club you would hope that they would make sure that the training ground was fit for purpose and not a hinderance to attracting players.

Went to the Caps AGN and a club emloyee admitted that it needed investment.

Pretty poor all round. Absolutely no spin can be put on this to make it less embarrassing.

Maybe the £1.5m in pay outs to a director who resigned or the 90k to certain ex politician for a few weeks work may have helped....
