Another nine points

Recommended Posts

Should be obtainable in the next three games -Cardiff, Wigan and ForestI suspect the doubts will be that it means three wins in a row, whereas if they were spread over the remaining games most would have these down as winsDoes it do much for us ?Well were we to pick up those points it would mean we would be ONE point behind where we were in Feb 2015 after 31 gamesAnd if were were to take 75 points as being a play off place, then the points average per game so far would see us hit exactly that targetCertainly a fair few ''ifs'' but none that are not achievable, so maybe a little less gloom and a bit more optimism might not go amiss

10points from the next 4 games will have us banging on the door

Also, we will enter the playoffs as the form team, no one will want to play us, should it happen

With the binners and Burton to follow Newcastle (game after the above three) there is every chance for us to be in the playoffs and then needing to hold our place to the final game.It is also an odd one this season as usually there is still a chance for more than two teams to take the two automatic places which at the moment it doesn''t appear so - which means you can burst a gut to then finish on a mid 80'' total (3rd spot) and still be in the same four as a team who just scrapped in 10 point below. But still a long way to go, and still to see who is in and out by Tues night
Our away form is patchy to say the least and we''ve not won two away back-to-back yet this season. Now would be a great time to do it but I''m not holding my breath...
This^^^.  Three games ago I suggested we could win six games on the trot, but we fell at the second hurdle. We are now into to the next three of those six games and after the Rotherham result, while definitely achievable, it will be something of a major surprise if we manage to win two away games in row.

Fans should be more positive after recent games, and should be fully supporting the team in away games. No negativity at all, just optimism. What sort of numpty would try and put a negative spin on things?

It''s likely going to be up and down for the rest of the season. We seem to have finally woken up from the relegation and are scrapping and fighting again. However, we''re still going to give away free headers, over commit commit in attack, occasionally just not turn up and miss easy chances. I don''t think we''ll storm up the league now but I''m hoping we match these levels at least and hopefully win more than we don''t.

We can''t afford to let ourselves sink into a rut again though. it took months to get out of this one and another would kill any chances. Neil''s job is now all about tempering complacency while still keeping confidence levels up. We''ve debated his tactical approach to death by now, as we''re likely to carry on playing the style we are this period is all about his man management and motivational skills

We have to be positive but lets not underestimate the opposition. They are winnable but no Warnock team lays down for you.

Playoffs certainly looking achievable again, so much depends on what happens in this window, must ensure we get quality replacement if we let players go.
