CANARYKING 634 Posted November 19, 2016 At least we''d have 89 minutes to equalise, unless we get really tanked AN will stay
KeiranShikari_2 0 Posted November 19, 2016 Probably did it instinctively. Remember Berra in the playoffs.
djc 0 Posted November 19, 2016 Ah yes, Berra in the playoffs. That single decision cost the binners their destiny of a return to the premier league. It also triggered the call for Brexit. Hillary Clinton would also have defeated Donald Trump if Berra hadn''t been sent off.
Calle 16 Posted November 19, 2016 Was it a clear sending off? Like Berra in the playoff or what? Wonder why Tettey got booked for dissent in that case?
Rogue Baboon 0 Posted November 19, 2016 Because Tettey would argue with his own reflection if given the chance...
AJ 1,218 Posted November 19, 2016 Yeah, seems pretty odd to have blocked the ball when all we seem to want to do lately is let the ball go into the back of the net. Shame on you Olsson!
CDMullins 436 Posted November 19, 2016 Hes not paid enough to make any sort of sensible decision.
Faded Jaded Semi Plastic SOB 1,017 Posted November 19, 2016 It is an instinct thing, my only ever sending off (in fact the only time I was ever booked) was for tipping the ball over the bar, a really good save, unfortunately I was not the GK......
Syteanric 1 Posted November 19, 2016 its the old dilemma...do you let it in and risk losing 1-0 with 11 on the pitch?or do you "take one for the team" and get sent off with no guarantee they will score the penalty and hope you get something out of it?they did miss the penalty.. and many times in the past we''ve seen 10 men win the match.what you can say is let it in with 11 and you are losing for definiteno one can say what will happen with 10.Suarez vs Ghana in 2006 springs to mind. Capt. Pants 4,196 Posted November 19, 2016 Either way we go into the next match with at least one first choice fullback missing and AN playing pass the parcel with the CBs.
? 0 Posted November 19, 2016 Dorrans out as well, 5 yellows.
Capt. Pants 4,196 Posted November 19, 2016 Oh great. If Thompson hasn''t recovered from his knock that''ll mean an extremely lightweight midfield.
