Rays Funds for the CSF with the Pink un Pickers Season 10 Week 16

Recommended Posts

I''m early today because I shall be out until after tonight''s match.

Welcome PUPs to week sixteen of

our tenth Rays Funds season. This weekend we have AJ in charge of the final six

selections. I think AJ is just the man to get us back to winning ways this

week. In his previous three attempts he has had 5/6 each time. That’s real

consistency and surely that elusive win must come this time. AJ suffered like

many of us with the difficult early season results. But after drawing a blank

in each of the first five weeks he has picked successfully in nine of the last

ten seeing him rocket up the PUPs league. We can all help Adam to get that win

by giving our very best selection from the games played on Sat/Sun/Mon of this weekend that are listed on the William Hill web site. Has to be Bill Hill this week to take

advantage of our free tenner from last week’s 5/6.

Big welcome to Sonyc who has

agreed to make the Norwich picks from the selections for our important game at

QPR. Sonyc’s been a great poster on this site for longer than PUPs has been

established so I was really pleased when he agreed to join our team. I know

our anonymous benefactor will be pleased too as they like to see as many

posters involved as possible. Good luck Sonyc. You have a tenner to spend,

split how you like, on the selections from the PUPs and your own.

I’ve had a great response to

the rota for December. I just have one place to fill after a cancellation. So I’m

hoping Molly Windley can make the Norwich picks for Barnsley away on 10th.

Foundation and our fabulous Downes Syndrome boys and girls..

Greetings PUPs, off to Germany this week where the improving Schalke are away to the stuttering Wolffs (VfL Wolfsburg vs. FC Schalke 04 - AWAY WIN).

For the match bet I''ll go for Lafferty to make a shock appearance and score in a City win and then be hailed as the Messiah (I''m not sure whether odds are available on that treble though).

Best wishes one and all!

Getting in early

Spurs to win against Wet Spam

For QPR, I fancy us to get something; their home form is not great and I think a trip away from home might do us some good at this point; if we were at home in this match I could imagine the atmosphere being somewhat tricky. I''ll go for the out and out Norwich WIN.

Best of luck AJ and sonyc!Off to Mother Russia this week, where second-placed Zenit (6-2-0 at home, F17 A6) entertain second-bottom Kryliya Sovetov (0-2-5 away, F1 A8). Odds of 1/4 for a home win seem a trifle generous. As for the match bet, we''re only 11/10 to win, which strikes me as somewhat stingy considering we''ve lost our last three and QPR have a new manager in tow. Therefore the value lies in ''neutral'' bets in my eyes (can''t bring myself to bet on QPR!), and given our poor defence and Holloway''s penchant for attack, I''ll go for over 3.5 goals in the match at 12/5.

Thank you Nutty and to the ideas so far from posters.

Its a massive game on Saturday and reading the press, even though often unreliable, seems to indicate Alex N could lose his job if results get worse and another defeat would constitute that. So I expect a bit of a performance and I like the positivity so far and agree that the odds for us winning seem stingy. So for me it is also a win but the draw looks tempting.

My other thoughts are in no order of importance:

Everton to beat Swansea

Scunthorpe must be a banker at home to Oldham you''d have thought

Portsmouth to beat Cheltenham away - great run going

Luton to beat Morecambe away and I''m not sure about other posters but I often check on Cam McGeehan and how he is doing and he is one of the top scorers. Therefore a McGeehan goal has gotta be be worth something for the PUPs

Forest Green home win v Lincoln

and (for a 6th or 7th choice depending if only one Luton bet is taken up by AJ) I''m going for

an away win by Aberdeen against Inverness (the Norwich connection again being obvious!)

Best of luck AJ.

Thanks for the introduction Nutty, and for all your suggestions so far - keep them coming!

I thought I''d drop in with my Norwich match suggestion, a tough game away to QPR for me suggests that both teams to score might be sensible seeing as they have scored in 8 of their past 10 games. Whilst they didn''t score against Newcastle the game before ours, I don''t really trust that we won''t concede, but hopefully we won''t concede as many as we did against Leeds or Brighton!

With that in mind, both teams to score and over 2.5goals would be my suggestion, as long as it''s a pickable combination of course - if not, Norwich to win and both teams to score.

Good luck to all as always..............Bolton vs Millwall - home win @  2.15 looks good value as they beat them 2-0 away just 4 games back.Bookies cannot have seen City play lately to have us as the clear favourites so a half time/full time of City/Draw looks an decent outside bet @ 15.00

Buonasera Pupetti...👍💰🍝⚽️🇮🇹

Good luck to the very switched-on AJ, a safe pair of hands....

Suggest a trip to Serbia for:

Partizan Belgrade vs Backa Palanka - Home win

As for Sonyc''s Norwich bet this week it''s a bit of a tricky one...When under pressure it can be the case that individuals want to show that any malaise doesn''t apply to them...we have to hope that such individual responsibility marries with the collective good of the team, but in the forward areas it matters a bit less, so:

Jacob Murphy to score and Norwich to win

Parma 👌👏💰⚽️🍀

Barcelona home win for me please Nutty.

As for City, feeling less than confident but will still go for a City win, draw at half time.

Good luck PUPs !

Hibs to beat queen of the south for me

As for city I just dont have a clue how up for the battle the squad is. . Looking at the odds 14-1 for norwich leading at half time and drawing at full time seems as likely as anything

We need the one result you like best of those Sonyc.
I check on Cam too buddy. I love his attitude and he''s another that probably suffered through our success. Hopefully we have a whacking great sell on clause for if he carries on developing.

I''m doing an accumulator this week based on teams that are languishing at the bottom of their respective leagues. In the Bundesliga, TSG Hoffenheim, in 4th place and unbeaten, are playing at home to Hamburger SV-bottom with just 2 points in 10 games and a GD of -19. The odds on a home win are a very generous 8/13 so a home win for me.

I''m going to Loftus Road on Saturday but the best that I can see for us is a draw-I''ll go for 2-2.

Good luck to all PUPs and especially AJ and Sonyc.

League two for me and 2nd placed Carlisle at home to beat 2nd bottom Exeter. That long coach journey won''t help them either.

Good luck all.

National League South - Hampton & Richmond (5th, 33 points from 18 games) to beat Welling United (20th, 12 points from 17 games). For the Norwich bet... for a bit of insurance I''d say QPR to lead at both half and full time (due to the new manager effect) might be worth considering.
