pete 318 Posted November 24, 2016 It is good news young Jacob has tied himself to City for next four years. Our best and most promising player who maybe has signed as he anticipates a return to the Pl and playing an important role therein. Unfortunately at the moment it is a distant pipe dream hopefully this may be rectified and Jacob can see life with City in the PL.Should however the probable outcome is realised and we fail to reach PL and the parachute payments reduce and eventually are exhausted. Will Jacob see out his four years. Absolutely no chance his relatively new agent will have certain clauses inserted to encourage Jacob to resign. Such clauses will include a significant increase on promotion, release clause on relegation and a minimum transfer fee to be payable in the event of failing to be promoted. The four years may in fact be only be six months if PL not reached. Jacob has done well but has latterly failed to reach the levels of first half a dozen fixtures. You''ve got to feel sorry for Josh who has been given few opportunities to prove himself in an under achieving team. Neil seems to be keen on saving him for the EFL Cup and U23 fixtures. perhaps Josh not offered new contract or turned down resigning because of the treatment he has received. Josh should be properly miffed as Brady, Pritchard and Naismith prove to be ineffective as left midfield.
hogesar 9,503 Posted November 24, 2016 Didn''t you predict Jacob wouldn''t sign a new deal with us? Is that why you''re now trying to somehow find a negative in it?I like you Pete. You''re one of my favourite trolls.

norfolkngood 1,070 Posted November 24, 2016 All that matters really is he has signed for 4 1/2 years if he wants to leave in the future then so be it but at least we get his market value he would have thought about the outcome of going up etc Everton interest but he is happy here so he signed
