Brady to Villa !!!!

Recommended Posts

Having seen how good he can be on the left side, and having no obvious go-to replacement of the same quality, no.
But then again he''s hardly playing at his potential or anywhere near at the moment, so maybe.
And his value will only lessen if he doesn''t sign a new deal, so yes.
Oh, I don''t know.
Can''t we just let the club decide, and then roundly slate whatever decision they make as being the "wrong" one?

This is the kind of price you pay for getting relegated and then under-performing on a scale which convinces your best players you have no chance of promotion.

Our Board have allowed a failing manager to continue too close to the transfer window and not only encourage those who can to leave but also encourage those who might, not to join us.

This is why AN must go

he is turning players like brady into 10 million pound players

how much was he worth after the Euros 20 mil ?

give him to AN for a few months half the player he was in the summer

On his performances this season I would be happy with our outlay and the wages we have paid him. No brainier for me. He has been bang average. For Ireland he is fantastic. But then perhaps Martin O''Neil has been able to get more out of him plus Keane''s influence. I enjoyed Brady''s inspired play at the Euros...a proper player. For us he has been a big disappointment. £10m? Very happy. Better still if we can invest in Josh Murphy.

Even Pete and Keith Scott know we wouldn''t sell one of our few genuine Prem players to a rival in the same league.

Probably.

Presumably, we have to halve our 16/17 wage bill as we slip back towards mid-table championship mediocrity. Selling Brady to one of our championship rivals is a helpful contribution to our strategy of under achievement and lack of ambition. What price Bruce now?

It''s just been reported that he has actually signed for Villa, subject to a medical at Carrow Road tomorrow evening ... when the Villa coach arrives.Delia is quoted as saying she is pleased as yellow did not really suit Brady, and Steve Bruce is also pleased as it will mean not only will Brady be able to play for Villa but will be able to travel back with them after the game. The deal is one of the first in the Football League''s new click and collect deals, that has recently been introduced. The deal also allows for a 14 day returns policy. The media source that broke this news, the Sun, has also confirmed that Xmas day will again be on Mon 26th December as usual - and that the Queens speech has been brought forward an hour to 7pm as the Strictly Come Dancing final is on at 8pm and the Queen doesn''t want to miss it.

He''s good on his day. But he ain''t great.

I''d always sell him for £10m or more*. I mean yes he would strengthen the squad of a rival. But has he been that special for us? Not really.

He''s a top end Champs player and bottom end Prem. I don''t see him going on to be more than that.

*On the basis that money got used well to bring in one or two others.

He''s under achieving at the moment like a lot of others. We know he is capable of much more as we have seen it when he first came to us and also with the ROI.

The questions are why it''s not happening now and how can we get the best out of him again.

We could sell him for 10 million only to find that''s he''s suddenly worth a lot more playing for someone else.

To be fair GJP, whilst I don''t completely disagree, you''ve said on several occasions that AN didn''t know how to use Redmond or get the best out of him...surely the same can apply here? Particularly when he has at times been a standout player for us and for his country.

The only response therefore is to get a manager in that builds a team that at least equals the sum of the parts rather than one which appears to be value-reducing. But, in fairness to Brady, there''s at least some chance of PL football under Bruce.

Hog, that is an interesting point. And maybe that goes for other players. He doesn''t get the best out of enough of them.

As for Brady in particular, I''m never quite sure with him. You look at his career and he''s not really a definite at left back and he''s not really a definite on the left wing. Or at least not when you get to Prem level.

It will be a major kick in the teeth if one of our best players joins a rival, especially at that price.

He''d work best as a wing back, with three behind. Give Conte a bell and see if he needs back up for Alonso.

But worst of all, he doesn''t like the music they play at Carrow O''Road. He he wanted Westlife played when he scored.
