pete 318 Posted December 11, 2016 Because the team simply requires a new face hopefully with a few new ideas as regards tactics. The statement that changing managers rarely works is of course true. But a new face will give the team new impetus as players try to influence the new man. New and different tactics can be instilled.Alex Neil''s strict adherence to 4231 does not work anymore we need new ideas. One alternative might be 3 at the back with 2 wing backs and just the one defensive midfielder 2 attacking midfielders and two strikers. This way Howson could be more influential further up the pitch with a number 10 and Jacob up top with another striker. Unfortunately the 3 current CB''s are useless might be an option in January given new faces. The new face will preferably be an experienced old head but not necessary just as long as he has new ideas a la Neil 2015 style. Rogue Baboon 0 Posted December 14, 2016 To be fair, a 1-0 win over a terrible Villa team isn''t going to change a lot of opinions on the manager is itIt''s all about how we build from here 30million quid on strikers & you play Agbonlahor up front?
