ec-p 90 Posted September 16, 2016 1-1 for me, not a complete disaster.
Yorkshire Canary 118 Posted September 16, 2016 Whilst i expect a heavy defeat at Newcastle this one could go either way. If we put out a decent side take our chances and cut out the silly mistakes we could easily win this. The type of fixture we would hope to get something from if we have aspirations for automatic as opposed to just play offs
It's Character Forming 1,160 Posted September 16, 2016 Here is the preview in the local paper. If you believe it, Forest won''t park the bus, and are a high-scoring side with a fragile defence. Sounds a bit familiar...http://www.nottinghampost.com/nottingham-forest-v-norwich-less-parking-the-bus-and-more-of-a-cavalry-charge-for-the-reds/story-29719189-detail/story.htmlSo, nailed on for 0-0 then..... Being serious, this is exactly the sort of fixture where we need (and should be able) to control the game with our quality in midfield, and hit them on the break with pace. In which case we can get the win. But if we get in front, we need a much more composed attitude than especially the 2nd half vs Wigan. I still have nightmares about the last time we played here, took the lead, and let them equalise and they scored a 2nd on the break in the final minutes. Any prediction is a massive punt frankly so I''ll go for 3-2 to Forest, hoping to be proved wrong...
Fuzzar 1,702 Posted September 16, 2016 0-6. Oliveira double hattrick, in a twenty minute subs cameo.
Ginja 26 Posted September 16, 2016 Discovered that we''ve only won 3 times in our entire history at the City Ground [:(] so I''m going to go for a draw...2-2Jacob Murphy with the opener, 0-1 then 1-1, 1-2 Jerome, and Forest to find a late equaliser 2-2. Not sure about your history, according to this website we''ve played 32 times at their place and won 7 times, with 7 draws and 18 defeats. Our 4-3 win in the ''36/37 season is particularly relevant to predictions about tomorrow, I''d say. http://www.lfconline.com/head_to_head/nottingham_forest/vs/norwich_city/index.shtml
Temp the Revelator 0 Posted September 16, 2016 I fancy 2-2 as well Ginja, only I can see us going behind at some point in the game......
Salopian 1 Posted September 16, 2016 If we play at our best for the whole game, then a win is in prospect, but I expect a narrow defeat, say 1-2.
Ricko 0 Posted September 16, 2016 If that''s true I was there all three times - in 1974, 1989 and 1993. Hard to believe that Forest would be Div 1 champs and then European Cup winners only 4 or so years later. I suppose you could say the same after we beat Leicester en route to promotion in 2011. Hoping for a good win tomorrow but would take a draw.
It's Character Forming 1,160 Posted September 16, 2016 Sounds like you missed the win in 36/37 Ricko - sadly I didn''t get to that one. But we also beat them at their place in 2008/09 so I think we''ve disproved that one.

Alex Moss 2,165 Posted September 16, 2016 Think this one will be a draw, 3-3 - but as ever, hopeful of a win! Hopefully this will be the game our undeniable quality finally moves into the gear I believe we''re more than capable of 👍
It's Character Forming 1,160 Posted September 16, 2016 That''s ok, glad to know it''s not one of our bogey grounds where we hardly ever get anything (eg that long spell when we got nothing at Man City, back when they didn''t have masses of money). The historic percentages are roughly away win 22%, draw 22%, home win 56%. which are not far off the typical percentages for away/draw/home performances in one stats book about football I read. Fr. Chewy Louie 137 Posted September 16, 2016 I agree with Pete that ideally we will score more goals than them, but failing that we''d want to score the same number. Scoring fewer goals than them would be the least desirable outcome in my view.

morty 0 Posted September 16, 2016 Ivo Pinto should be fine, Tettey doubtful, Brady should return.Doesn''t sound like we''ll see Olveira.

morty 0 Posted September 16, 2016 I have never made my mind up if Mulumbu can play the Tettey role. He seems more box to box.I wonder if we''ll see a formation change?

It's Character Forming 1,160 Posted September 16, 2016 Tettey being absent is always a major blow. I think he''s a player that some on here underestimate, partly because he''s been with us quite a few years and so much of what he does is with no fuss. I think Mulumbu is meant to be able to play that role, the question is whether he can do it well enough. It''s a worry, especially against one of the top scoring sides in the division. A bit like when we have seen Howson played in a deep role.
ZLF 274 Posted September 16, 2016 Result first always - a performance can follow in an unbeaten run.I still cant see us keeping a clean sheet - so will plump for a 1-1 draw; given no tettey and poor city ground record that will be good progress.
