Nelson Oliveira song

Recommended Posts

I was thinking about a song for him. Maybe two versions of it depending how he turns out...

(Both in the style of the hokey cokey, leaving off the ''o'' from his surname)

The good one (If he comes good)

Oooh Nelson Liveira

Oooh Nelson Liveira

Oooh Nelson Liveira

The greatest striker at Norwich FC

The bad one (If he''s carp)

Oooh Nelson Liveira

Oooh Nelson Liveira

Oooh Nelson Liveira

He''s as good as Kyle Lafferty

Thoughts?

2 thoughts-

1. The words only fit the tune if you include the ''O''.

2. Why would you sing a song about how rubbish a player is?

1. You can sing it with or without the ''o'' on his surname. Depends how long you hold the initial ''Ooooo'' for. That''s entirely your call.

2. Irony, like the Turner song.

Cant beat a proclaimers song for football, if you haven''t heard it please listen to "Oh Jean" then apply the following;-

We never been lucky with strikers we signed

Don''t know who to blame for our lack of success

Cause even with ones that don’t park the bus

There was always the risk of a slap in the puss

But Olivera, Oliveraaah, We got lucky with you

But Olivera, Oliveraaah, We got lucky with you

The first time we saw you it did cross the line

The next time we saw you that was fine

The third time we saw you we knew that you could

The fourth time we saw you we knew that you just would

But Olivera, Oliveraaah, We got lucky with you

But Olivera, Oliveraaah, We got lucky with you

Love yer, We love yer, We love yer

Love yer, We love yer, We love yer

Love yer, We love yer, We love yer

Love yer, We love yer, We love yer

But Olivera, Oliveraaah, We got lucky with you

But Olivera, Oliveraaah, We got lucky with you

Well I tried, and sounded good in the kitchen of our office (they all think I have finally done a big Vince and lost it) but he has to score on his debut to make this work.

If his nickname is Admiral and we want to be original, how about converting/ammending a sea shanty with an Admiral Nelson connection:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/history/battle-of-britain/10152270/Shanty-written-by-Nelsons-crew-on-sale-for-25000.html

There are some lyrics in that article.

Lighten up Barclay, it was an attempt to pick up on the ops comment about a song for Oliveira, and the original is not about an assault on a lady garden, its about a young guy at last finding success after kissing a few frogs, don''t make it something its not.

2 Unlimited - no limit song would work rather well, albeit a bit tarnished since Joe Harts head and shoulders no dandruff advert .....

How about this basic one...

"Lord Nelson is a Norfolk boy

In our team he plays

When he scored the winning goal

He fills our hearts with joy

... Nelson, Nelson, Nelson...."

I think we need to wait until NO has played a few games before we make up a song for him. How long has he played for us so far? - 45mins in the League Cup
