Burton... will they park the bus....

Recommended Posts

....... or will they let the driver have a tour round Norfolk ?Some nice parts within easy reach, as long as he is back by around 5.45It''ll probably be a coach as well, not a bus

This will be a good test for us, highly motivated opposition who will throw everything into this game and probably give us very little time on the ball. Looking forward to seeing how we respond.

haha guys, look at this guy! he tried to talk about football in a pinkun thread!

Anyway, as for Burton, the thing that mainly stands out for me is their solid engine room. people like mousinho, choudury and naylor are typical football league midfielders, not afraid to get stuck in and comfortable on the ball. they have bought well with the likes of Jamie ward providing a bit of a threat on the counter and if we fail to get a grip on the game, they will punish us.

Saying that, it''s a game where our quality on the ball should outshine them and we can find a way through their middle, we will have too much for their side. it''s a big if though.

I went to school with their keeper as well, hes a decent player and has the height and agility though I never imagined he''d be a championship keeper! Good against penalties (he was at school anyway!)

All teams will park the bus to a certain extent when they come to Carrow Road this season and the panacea is an early goal.

Easier said than done though.

From what I have seen of Burton they seem to have a more cavalier approach than most and might be less inclined to be ultra-defensive. They have scored seven away goals in four games this season but have let eight in.

Clough has built a decent unit there whose main aim this season is survival.

It is likely to be a good encounter and should have a few goals.

Vehicular puns aside.....it shouldnt matter what tactics Burton employ today, this is as easy or hard as we want to make it for ourselves .

With 2 teams worth having played well this past week and a near clear bill of health, Alex Neil has all to cards to play, and more off the bench.....really no excuses today.
