nutty nigel 7,902 Posted September 21, 2016 Welcome to week eight of our tenth Rays Funds season. This week we have another Rays funds star with Parma Ham’s Gone Mouldy in charge of selecting trhe final six results. Parma is a great supporter of our threads and all us PUPs. His posts about our group and the spirit we have are an inspiration to me. And of course it was Parma who patiently helped me set up our profitability league. All this and Parma also posts some great tactical threads which generate interesting discussion that I have learned a lot from. Last season Parma had a really unlucky 5/6 and I’ve been looking forward to his turn this season ever since. So let’s all find our very best choices from the games on Sat/Sun/Mon of this weekend that are listed on the William Hill or Bet365 web site. For this week’s Norwich match we have Reggie making the final picks and trying to follow up Hoola Han Solo’s win last weekend. Reggie joined this season and is the son of another top PUP Wooster. We have quite a few PUP families post on our thread. It’s great to share this like that just as it’s really special for families to support their football team together. I’m really grateful every time a new PUP joins. I’m also really grateful to our anonymous benefactor for making it possible for the new PUPs to become more involved earlier than they otherwise would. Good luck Eddie, you have a tenner to spend any way you choose. I’m still waiting for Indy to confirm his October date, Here’s the provisional rota : - Final six picks 1st Oct Til1010 - Confirmed 8th Oct Mr Apples - Confirmed 15th Oct Jellytot - Confirmed 22nd Oct Diane - Confirmed 29th Oct Swindoncanary - Confirmed Norwich game final selections 1st Oct Snake Eyes - Confirmed 8th Oct Internationals 15th Oct I’m A Banana - Confirmed 22nd Oct Anthony - Confirmed 29th Oct Indy - Now I’ll hand the thread over Parma and Reggie. Remember there’s no pressure because we are all going to be doing our best to help you to success. We all stand together with the single aim of raising money for the Community Sports Foundation. Good luck all you PUPs... take it away Parma and Eddie ... the thread is yours.......[:)]......... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As always I leave you with Ray’s signature which now reads :- Carve their names with pride.Yankee,5,Fellas,3,P''boro,2,Mr Chops,2,NewYork,2, Inch High,5, Blahblahblah, NCFC_Shaun, 1st Wazzock,3, Fonejacker,3, Norfolkbroadslim,3, Norfolkchance1,2, Scooby,3, Trent Canary,3, Cosmic Twin,4, Graham Humphrey, Leedscanary,3, NcfcStar, Herman, Delia’s Devonshire Dirtbox,2, Lappinitup, Statto, Mandie Moo,2, Mr Bump, Kathy,2, Til1010, Snake-eyes, Vindo,2, NWC, Hughesy, Gregt, GMF,2, SwindonCanary, Twidio, Hector Brockelbank, Lake District Canary,2, Bor Bor Bor, Yellowfuture, Chellecity, Diesel Doris, Lessingham Canary, Molly Windley, yes Norfolkchance1 £2038 for the Academy, and £1546 for the Community Sports Foundation. Feedthewolf 5,885 Posted September 21, 2016 I''ll go for Ajax to beat PEC Zwolle in the Eredivisie, please. For the Norwich game, we''re 4/9 to win, but 5/2 to win with both teams scoring. Given we have won our last three league games without keeping a clean sheet, this seems like a good markup on the basic ''to win'' odds! Also Nutty, did you see my recent post in last week''s PUPs thread?Best of luck to Parma and Eddie - in bocca al lupo a tutti! Hissing Sid 160 Posted September 21, 2016 3 losses in a row has dropped me off the table and blew the Big 6 last week, so I''m seeking redemption in the National League North with Darlington 1883 (7-2-2 23-15) v Stalybridge Celtic (2-0-9 8-25) - Home WinFor the match bet, HT/FT Norwich/NorwichBest of luck Parma, Reggie and all you PUPs. Parma Ham's gone mouldy 2,462 Posted September 22, 2016 Buongiorno PUPetti......andiamo...!!....👌👏🎉🎼💰💰💰👊🏼🇮🇹After a slightly erratic start to the season, with some unlikely results, things are starting to take shape and pattern. The major leagues are showing their hand and we have some evidence to suggest who can be relied upon...As we haven''t put millions in the pot so far this season, will definitely be looking to get some sort of return with the six....Will have my eyes on The Harlem Globetrotters vs Blofield Cubs Under 9''s at a mere 1/36,000.....Fire ''em at me ragazzi......Parma 😘👍🏼👏👌🎉🎼👊🏼🇮🇹😂💰💰💰

Platonic 1 Posted September 22, 2016 I must have come down with something, because I''m feeling all optimistic this week, probably something in the water.I fancy a bumper week for all things Norwich, so I''m backing Leeds to beat them down the road. For the Norwich match, I think we''ve hit some form and fancy us scoring a few, so would be tempted by an over 4.5 which you can get for 11/2 on Bill Hill.Good luck all. Molly Windley 76 Posted September 22, 2016 Hi All, well done to last weeks pickers and good luck to Parma and Reggie this week.Lots of good looking picks this week on the coupons and quite like the odds of Hoffenheim, however have gone for the safer option ofHome win for Anderlecht vs Westerlo in the Belgian Jupiter League on Sunday @ around 2/11For the City game I fancy a clean sheet so either cover all the wins to zero or take Burton not to score @ 11/8Eddie, do we qualify for a free £5 bet on William Hill on the weeks that we place £20 on Acca`s?http://www.bookieradar.co.uk/william-hill-offers/william-hill-s-acca-club-have-a-5-free-bet-for-20-on-football-accas
Parma Ham's gone mouldy 2,462 Posted September 22, 2016 This thread repeatedly brings out the best in people and posters.Nutella preserves and promotes this thread out of a desire to do good and in memory of a good friend. Many of us - myself included - need a stimulus and some convenience to good, so this thread and Ray''s Funds allows us all the opportunity to feel a little better about ourselves and make some very minor contribution to a brilliant cause that might otherwise get sidelined. To those of you who read, lurk or want to get involved, but aren''t sure how or why, please do make a pick for a team you think will win a match this week and post it on this thread. To any regular posters who don''t currently join in, please make a contribution to the thread that best represents out little community. There is much in here that does nothing for the image of posters, but this means something. The money means something. If you can''t spare a tenner, join in anyway, but if you can - or can find random, contrived and we''ll-meaning reasons to send pledges to the DS Team and CSF, then do go ahead and do it...Nigel is a fabulous guy who does much by himself for others. Let us all copy a little bit of that....Parma
Lessingham Canary 108 Posted September 22, 2016 First of all, would echo Parma and an excellent shout for Nigel, magnificent effort and could never be praised enough for keeping this, the single best thread on any forum, imo.Right to business, League 1 for me and Home win for Millwall who face Rochdale at the New Den.For the City bet, 3-1 home win and a Murphy to score!!Good luck all, especially you pickers, we are in safe hands this week. Parma Ham's gone mouldy 2,462 Posted September 22, 2016 Nutella,Had already planned to double this week''s bet - hence the pony slipped into the sky rocket of a crafty china at Cardiff - however given that we need a win, plus my penchant for the short and obscure (where''s my PiC Purple?.....)...will now send you a further nag to quadruple the bet and see if we can pick up pace to an early gallop......Calling all you banker specialists.....Portugal, Spain, German Oberliga iv.......Parma 👌👏😂😂💰💰💰🎉💰💰
nutty nigel 7,902 Posted September 22, 2016 Firstly thank you for your continual generosity Parma. I really hope it pays off. And thank you again for such kind words. I am lucky to be in a position to be able to look after these threads. I''m blessed with so many wonderful people and things in my life and these threads are one of them. I only administrate them. It''s you PUPs who are the real stars and you PUPs are the reason why I''m so proud of what we do.So you''re looking for bankers. I''m not usually a banker picker so not sure about this. However in Estonia they''ve already played 30 games and it''s all to play for at the top. Levadia top the league on goal difference and this week they are at home to Tammeka who are 30 points behind them but look safe from relegation. It looks a banker home win to me and Levadia are 1/10 with Bill Hill. Levadia v Tammeka Home WinFor Reggie I''m going with positivity. I think Norwich will win. But I''ve noticed Burton usually score. So my suggestion is Norwich to win and both teams to score.
Statto28 0 Posted September 22, 2016 Would very much like to echo Parmas words. Wthout doubt the best of this board summed up in this thread As for my nap, Celtic win please As always, heres hoping for both a PUPs and City win
SwindonCanary 457 Posted September 23, 2016 Atletico Madrid vs Deportivo La Coruna a home win for me Norwich bet 3-
wooster 134 Posted September 23, 2016 Good luck Parma and well said re Nutty''s management of this thread, it is great fun.Reggie is delighted to be charged with the Norwich bet (thank you again Nutty) and is feeling very positive about the result (I think I''ll have to cover a goalless draw or a Burton win) but more of that tomorrow.I think tomorrow''s PL games are littered with potential draws but I can''t get past Man Utd vs Leicester which has draw written all over it (despite Bill Hill''s 3/1).For the Norwich bet I''m going for 4-1, at 22/1.Best of luck everybody. DDD In The Fine City 1 Posted September 23, 2016 This week I''m off to the land of the sheep lovers in the Welsh prem TNS to beat Carmarthen town at home on Sunday For the norwich bet 1-1 draw and this message board to go into meltdownGood luck everybody
Jellytot 42 Posted September 23, 2016 Good luck Palma and all pups. I''m off to league 1 this week and think MILLWALL will win at home against Rochdale. Norwich bet, Jerome to score first goal.

93vintage 16 Posted September 23, 2016 The Norwich bet is tougher than it might first appear. We''ve not one four Championship home games in a row since the back end of the 2010/11 season. Burton have drawn their last three away games since their promotion after losing 4-3 away at Forest. I expect Burton might be difficult to break down, and the result a draw or narrow Norwich win.A safe option would be a draw-Norwich-win-no-bet at around 1.5.Slightly more risky would be a Norwich -0.25 @ 1.3, whereby you lose half your stake if Norwich draw.A Norwich draw no bet is currently 1.14.I think the first option might be the way to go in terms of risk/reward. The mount to put on a draw is ''s * (w - 1) / w'', where s is the total stake and w is the decimal odds of a Norwich win. Put the remainder on a Norwich win.Good luck Reggie. The Great Drinkell 51 Posted September 23, 2016 Having been participating in this thread for a few years now, I know there are know such things as certainties so Parma I offer you a probable,Plymouth v Hartlepool Home win, Plymouth have won their last 5 games and last time these teams met Plymouth ran out 5-0 winnersGood luck with your picks. For the City bet, I fear fans expectations may rise to giddy heights again after the last weeks results. Most teams that come to CR will be happy to leave with a point so we may see some frustrating days where we may have to be patient tomorrow could be one of those days. I''ll go 2-0 win with late goals.good luck Reggie
