To all those who said they'd give AN 10 games

Thereby consolidating the point he was making."It can''t be "a mistake" to base your playing strategy on the truth can it, especially when, as you point out, your own experience confirms it? Surely what would  really be a mistake would be to pretend that the facts are other then they are? Maybe what you mean is that, since we proved so inept in our defending against EPL attackers, we would have been better to throw in that particular towel and just go out to try and outscore the opposition? That is an arguable short term strategy for a defensively inept team. But as a longer term strategy for surviving in the EPL, there is no alternative to prioritising sound defence as the basis from which to attack.

Yep i''m with you Highland, if the board had any foresight they''d be looking to get Bruce in now while he''s still available. Once again Neil''s woeful in game management costs us. It should be obvious by now that the guy is not going to learn from his continual mistakes. We''ve scraped by against the weak teams in the last few games simply due to our far superior squad. But in the big games against decent teams when we need the manager to get it right he inevitably gets it wrong. Stick with Neil and it''s going to cost us promotion.

Tonight was shambolic as was Birmingham but he has still got 20 points from 10 games which is automatic promotion. That said our season could go either way after tonight''s game. If we get it out of our system fine if like last season the fixture really damaged confidence of players and management then harder times may be around the corner
