Rays Funds for the CSF with the Pink un Pickers Season 10 Week 10

Recommended Posts

Welcome to week ten of our

tenth Rays Funds season. This week we have Mr. Apples in charge and picking the

final six. Now Apples got a really hard week for his first attempt last year so

I’ve been looking forward to his turn since then. I’m convinced he’s a winner

in waiting so hopefully the form will be kinder this time. Graham is a past

winner on the Norwich bet so already has his name on that part of Ray’s

signature. I also enjoy Mr Apples’ posts on the rest of the message board. He

brings humour and that’s always welcome. So let’s help him to a deserved

winning week with our very best choices from the games on Sat/Sun/Mon of

this weekend that are listed on the William

Hill or Bet365 web site.

This is international weekend

but there’s no requirement to pick from those games. They are open to us pick

from but watch out for Thursday and

Friday games which of course are of no use. There are the lesser leagues

both here and abroad as well.

There’s no Norwich game so we

can concentrate all our efforts on helping Mr Apples.

I’ve provisionally set the

rota for November. Please could you indicate if it’s ok along with your

selections.

Final Six Selections

05 Nov – Feedthewolf

12 Nov – Graham Humphrey

19 Nov – AJ

26 Nov – Mandie

Norwich Match Picks

05 Nov – ZLF

12 Nov – Internationals

19 Nov – Sonyc

26 Nov – First Wazzock

Last week’s great win from

Snake-Eyes and the pledges that came in have taken the Presentation pot over a

grand. It currently stands at £1044 all of which had been raised in the six

months since the Newcastle game in April. That’s a fantastic effort from you wonderful

team of PUPs. I’ll share this picture again (I love it!!) showing our DS boys

and girls with Michael Owen last week.

Now I’ll hand the thread over Mr

Apples. Remember theres no pressure

because we are all going to be doing our best to help you to success. We all

stand together with the single aim of raising money for the Community Sports

Foundation and our fabulous Downes Syndrome boys and girls..

Good luck all you PUPs... take it away Graham  ... the thread is yours.......[:)]........

F.A.O Nutty, been asked to help out with some work over the past couple weeks, in my industry as a contractor I have to take what comes along.

I know you asked about me doing a pick and I''ve been meaning to email you, can''t find the poxy thread you mentioned the email.....sorry I''m a plank!

I''m not sure I can do end of October as I''m away for work from the 18th and not sure what internet I''ll have in Norway. When I get back in London to watch the Redskins game.

Would you be happy if I picked later in the year?

Cheers and good luck with this weekends picks.

After a recent run of form that has been worse than 1p5wich (yep, it''s been that bad) I wouldn''t blame you for totally ignoring this!!! A Saturday offering from the African World Cup qualifying section...

Ivory Coast v Mali - Home Win

Best of luck Mr Apples, and all you PUPs

However tawdry it all is, I suppose England will comfortably beat Malta....I''m not a massive fan of International football, beyond the interesting and distinct cultures, philosophies and patterns of play of Germany, Spain and of course Italy. There is some nice technical play to be found across the Balkans I suppose...and the Dutch can always be relied upon to be fluidly impressive, then find a way to beat themselves..

England are the archetypal out-of-date flat-track bullies so a rather weary nod therefore towards:

England vs Malta

Apologies for the lack of creativity....

Parma 😴😴😕

Speculate.....Right?

Northern Ireland v San Marino - Draw

16/1

Ridiculous probably but in my head they''re more resilient than they used to be.....so San Marino might not even get a goal...

It''s a bit out there but...

Doubt this will make the final 6...🙈😂👍

Hello everybody.

My pick this week is Wales to beat Georgia.

As for the Norwich bet, I really can''t see us getting any points this weekend at all.

Nutty, I note that I''m actually on the Norwich bet signature twice. Once as my previous alter ego Wes Hooly Fan and again once a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away as Hoola Han Solo. Please feel free to scratch me off WHF, so I''m not on there twice.

Good luck all PUPs.

Hi PUPs and thanks to Nutty for a very kind intro.

I have to confess my early season form was shocking, 0 and 5 (as our American cousins would say), but thankfully things have picked up over the last couple of weeks. Hopefully we''ll be onto a winner this weekend.

I''m with Parma on the lack of enthusiasm for international breaks/fixtures but I''ll go for Israel vs. Liechtenstein as my choice (home win).

Thanks in advance for all the help and keep the suggestions rolling in!

I ventured to Brazil to find some top league action: -
Flamengo          v           Santa Cruz         Home Win
I saw Ricky Martin today and he asked me how our PUPs are doing. He was well impressed that we''d raised over £1,000 since April. You PUPs are famous at Colney[Y]

First up – Nutty, it would be my pleasure to pick the final six for the weekend of November 5th. Hopefully there will be fireworks! [:)]International week is always a pig – plenty of mega-short bankers, but lots of high-risk value picks to trip one up too. Such a difficult balance to strike! I''m going to play a relatively low-risk banker – Ukraine to win at home to the newbies of Kosovo, who lost 6-0 at home to Croatia in their last outing. Odds should be in the region of 1/4.Best of luck, Apples!
