Norwich City FC in 1000 years time...

Recommended Posts

Do you think City supporters (or whatever they''ll be then) will have the bragging rights over Ipswich in Intergalactic Cup wins or whatever? Reason I ask is because I sometimes wonder what will become of Norwich City and football in general long after we''re gone - if only we could have a sneak into the future, it''d be fascinating to see hi w all things football, and NCFC in particular, will have moved on. How do you see the game evolving? How do you see us evolving? Will we ever become the champions of England, Europe, the world?

I don''t think those here in1000 years time will find time to play football, it will be in the past along with most of humanity!

It must be a bit tough for Declan ATM Lakey. Big protests at Charlton yesterday, both by Charlton and Coventry fans.

Not a great environ to be playing in.

Yep. Still can''t work out why he was good enough to be no 2 goalie in the premier league, but not in the championship, but I suppose McGovern is the  answer to that....and I''ve no complaints about McGovern.

One thing I''m sure of, football will not be played on grass, a futuristic astroturf maintained by robots perhaps. Over pitch seating covering the whole pitch so thousands can watch the game from above. And the biggest evolution of them all - red hot sausage rolls at Carrow Plaza Complex (designed by Tom Cavendish Jr Jr Jr Jr Jr Jr Jr Jr Jr Jr Jr Jr Jr Jr Jr)

The human race won''t be here in 1000 years

But we''ll still be better than Ipswich

Possibly that Rudd is seen as good backup but not better than Ruddy, whereas McGovern has shown why he was signed

I expect there''ll still be binners bleating on about their glorious history. And as now I doubt they will have won anything since.

there are very few things that the human race does today than it did 1000 years ago.....other than the basics of food and shelter.....so its difficult to compare any kind of continuity. The differences of association football today compared to its founding 150 years ago are stark but in many ways still similar.

Providing the rules of the game remain largely unchanged, football will just continue as it is and always has.

In decades or centuries to come the most successful clubs will still by and large come from the biggest cities and the wealthiest clubs.

It would be very difficult to think however than at some point in the future there wouldnt be some sort of European or even World League.

as for Norwich......will there even be a Norwich in a millenium, geographically speaking?...rising sea levels may even have wiped much of Norfolk out ?!?!?

There is a bit of a tilt going on GJL, Norfolk will be submerged and Cumbria will be elevated to new heights 😀

Nothing has changed except we live underwater.

A small cult dedicated to the work of Gary Doherty starts a wrestling club.

Due to commercial pressures, matches are six x fifteen minutes segments with 5 minutes break between each for adverts.

Draws are replaced with triple sudden death overtime.

Delia will still be controlling the train set. She will be in robotic form by then using artificial intelligence that was configured before her biological life ended.
