Redmond

You are kidding me. £11m for Redmond was a great deal for us - both the

Murphy boys have already contributed more than Redmond would have done

for us all season.

The Southampton message boards have sussed him out already - occasional

brilliance; usual laziness; tactically inept.
By Christmas he will be on

their bench.[/quote]Just scored for Southampton at Man City.Maybe a few Saints fans will be changing their minds now

Got gunned down after posting that my colleague and Southampton season corporate holder has said most fans there think he''s a better all round player than Sterling. At the moment certainly better value for money.

Great to see him doing well under a very good manager.

To many people in the game think Redmond is a great prospect, for him to be as useless as the "no final product" Brigade that used to appear on here.

Worth a look in a few years time. I think he will be at a top six club.

Doubt it. He scored from a back pass (though it was a well taken goal) and apart from that has done very little. Barely touched the ball in the second half. Sterling has been much the better of the two.

And don''t forget Canos, HMHI

Making Plans - could argue today''s goal falls under ''occasional brilliance'' for many Southampton supporters.

Don''t think any of us doubt he has the talent, I think the question mark is over his consistency (or lack of).

I think the obvious reason is staring us in the face (head)

When he was here, his hair was manicured to the millimetre. He has foregone that little luxury, and the scruffy beard/hair, has released his shackles. Football is a simple game really.

I''m curious as to why so many are still bothered about him. He had some great moments with us, we got good money for him but he''s not a Norwich City player any more. Good luck to the lad and I hope he does well at Southampton, but I won''t be getting hung up on losing him.
