defender modibo diakite close to signing

Recommended Posts

Football: Modibo Diakite close to Norwich City (English Championship). The former defender of Lazio and Sampdoria, among other, born in 1987, was released. For him there was talk of possible interest of Pescara ...

New club in sight for Modibo Diakité : the French defender, free transfer after the end of the experience at Sampdoria last season, had remained until now without a team. His career will most likely bounce back from Championship (second English category) and more specifically from Norwich City , the club with which would be very close the deal. The clubs of the Canaries , looking on the market for an experienced player, he would have already made contact with Diakité, so no Italian club has come forward with a pretty attractive proposition, not even the Pescara , a company that seemed interested in him after '' injury sustained by Norbert Gyömbér few weeks ago. Decisive in the end would have been the intervention of the prosecutor Roberto De Fanti , has always been active in England, after the departure of its historical Diakité agent Ulisse Savini , it happened for months.

MARKET: Diakite - NORWICH, BUY ONE STEP? - To Diakité that the channel will not be the first experience in career: in 2013 the defender of Malian origin had already played a few months in Sunderland, in the Premier League, with Paolo Di Canio coach and general manager of the same De Fanti. Career Diakité, apart from the English experience, almost always dressed mesh Italian teams: Pescara, Lazio, Fiorentina, Cagliari, Sampdoria and Frosinone. In 2014, then he was loaned to Deportivo La Coruna.

Seems to have had a lot of clubs, not played many games & has been released several times over his career

However, I know nothing regarding style or quality but always seems to have played in the top leagues across Europe

Calm everyone, don''t worry yourselves.

He ain''t gonna be fit, maybe play a couple of u23 games end of January, then last ten minutes of a first team game then we won''t see him again.

This doesn''t sound good. He has played little games e.g. 65 games for Lazio over 7 seasons. Lasted less than a season at Sunderland which is not a good omen. However he has the tremendous virtue of being cheap which no doubt appeals to the board. Released by Sampdoria and no other club has come in for him. You have to ask why. Sounds like a potential Shittaker quality signing.

Tbf if he''s as good as Whittaker then that''s a decent free transfer. He''s probably worse though.

Probably be here for about 3 months on ridiculous wages before he even makes it to the bench as he is not up to our fitness levels.

I think that''s called compounding the error.

Has anyone actually seen him play ?

I think I''ll reserve judgement.  Someone who''s been a fringe defender in the Italian top flight just might be an improvement on the defence we have in the Championship.

More to the point, has anybody actually seen him sign?

Or is this likely to be another in a mahoosive list of rumours throughout our history that never actually comes to anything?

We need to sign Modibo Dioralyte to firm up our s*** defence...

I''d rather have Tuber Araldite - is available, strong, tough and never gives an inch.

I''ve heard he''s epoxy!

Known about this for sometime but was told not to say anything. Quintisential workhorse, will be a good signing. Very superstitious player - reason he wanted to sign for the club is becuase he had a good spell at Frosinone who are known as Canarini (The Canaries) in Italy.
