The new Thierry Henry

Recommended Posts

To point out perceived deficiencies is not having a go at the club. The coaching at Colney has not been that good IMO. Last season the same mistakes were made frequently throughout the season. This means either the players were too thick to take in the coaching advice or the coaching was inadequate. I was not surprised that a new first team coach was appointed this summer. Anyone who suggests that Southampton''s coaching set up doesn''t knock ours into a cocked hat is having a giraffe. Just look at the players they have brought through their youth system and sold for huge fees and then compare that to ours. Remember it was only seven seasons ago that we left them behind in League One.

A bit off topic but maybe the investment of huge sums from the multi billionaire owner of Soton has helped - you can''t achieve the same on our resources

Sorry Norfolk n Good, They haven''t really done that though other than alleviating the financial difficulties they were in at the start. The owners have made a profit on transfer dealings selling thir best players year on year for huge profits. If Delia had done the same thing here even with their sucess our fans would have been bleating on about the lack of ambition in winning some trophies.

A bit off topic, but I wonder how a Premiership club of Bournemouth''s stature (and with a maximum capacity of just under 11,500) can attract a Rich Russian businessman to invest in the club that went into administration in 2008.......?

Or perhaps clubs are a lot cheaper to buy and only one potential direction of travel when they are in administration?
