Left back

Is Alex Neil confident enough to start Toffolo in a league game? If he isn''t we need another left back.

I think Harry is good enough and Brady is wasted in that position.

Olsson is ''injured'' which means he''s off to

Well, that''s how the muppets read it anyway.

Sooner Olsson is fit the better. Brady until then.

Toffolo would be out on loan if not for injuries and may still go.

A fully fit Toffolo is bet than a player who is not a natural LB

this season has to be round pegs in round holes

having said that AN will pick Whitts as LB !!

Olsson won''t be leaving this window. Personally don''t think Brady will leave in this window either. Plus Whittaker can fill in there.

Brady was a competent left back for us last season, played as a wing back for Hull prior to that and also played LB for his country! Not only is he comfortable in the role but some of his best performances last season came from this position IMO.

Whilst Olsson is out, He and Pinto will be massive attacking outlets for us and they''re both useful defensively - their pace being a big accolade.

Brady is simply much stronger than Toffolo as a LB. Don''t really know how anyone can think otherwise!

If Brady not played as LB presumably you''re looking at LM. I presume when fit Pritchard will fit in there and with Canos slotting in our attacking four. With Wes and the undroppable Naismith Brady might not get in other than LB.

Hopefully Everton will look for new LB Brady for £12m will do nicely.

Really find it annoying that so many Norwich fans don''t get that players don''t necessarily have to stick to playing the same position they played as a youth player and will blame poor performances (Which will happen for the calibre of players we can attract) on a player being seemingly out of position.

It often seems to be the same people who clamour for a 442 and want to see crosses knocked into the box every time we attack. People who think Hoolahan can''t play a part of a fluid, central 3 because he looked poor when Roeder stuck him on the left of a flat midfield 4. Or that Ben Godfrey is a central midfielder and every time AN plays him elsewhere he''s playing him out of position etc

Brady is a superb left back at this level. When played there Martin and Whittaker have looked no worse (Or better) than any other position they''ve played. Toffolo is a really good footballer but even in the friendlies and cup games we''ve seen that he''s still very error prone, despite being solid for 99% of the match. He''s not ready yet imo

We have Olsson, Brady, Toffolo as back up and at a stretch we can also play Whittaker there

No need to sign a LB, we do, however, need strikers...

If we play - Pinto Bennett Klose Brady
Then we have a complete international back four not playing : -
Whittaker Martin Bassong Olsson
Plus Toffolo and Turner.
I sometimes have to pinch myself to believe this is Norwich city...
If we keep them all I suspect Turner will go on loan. Possibly Tofollo too.

Olsson, Brady, Toffolo ... can use Whittaker and even Martin there. We have cover for all positions, even striker.

It''s just that our back up strikers aren''t quite to the standard we need.

This thread should be combined with the pant wetting one.

Not at all, I am quite happy for Toffolo to play.

Trouble is, with Olsson out, we are not getting the best out of Brady who is arguably our most valuable player.

True we have a few players who can fit in that position but you could argue that we have a few players who could fill in the striker role although that is not their specialist position

Tuesday night''s game proved how good our young players are, Morris scored for the U23s. If we don''t try players like Toffolo, there is no point in them being in the squad.
