Realistically, what's our starting 11 from this point onwards

Recommended Posts

I''d hope it would be (injury free)

Mcg/Ruddy

Pinto, Klose, Bennett, Olsson

Tettey/Howson

Canos/Pritchard, Olive, Hoolahan

Jerome

Plenty of changing in the front 5 depending on form but I would like

Ruddy

Pinto Bennett klose olsson

Tettey

Jacob Wes Pritchard Brady

Jerome

With swaps of

Mukumbu

Howson Naismith, josh canos,

Oliveira

For form tactics etc.

See that looks strong.

Ruddy

Pinto Bennett Klose Olsson

Mulumbu Dorrans

Canos Wes Pritchard

Jerome

Howson too anonymous, Tettey offers very little, watching him jump for headers in a straight line annoys me! Naismith can be Wes replacement from the bench and the murphys can cover the wings if needed. Oliveira my obvious striker replacement. Martin needs to be right back cover and bassong in the centre. Brady versatile left support.

Anyone who is suggesting we can play Wes and Pritchard with only Tettey behind them is being crazy- we''d get absolutely shredded.

And anyone suggesting Tettey offers very little is even crazier....go to a game as you clearly haven''t watched Tettey play.

You all seem to forget that regardless of form Steven Naismith must be accommodated in the team at all costs...

I''d go for

Ruddy

Pinto, Klose, Bennett, Olsson

Tetty, Mulumbu

Pritchard, Wes, Brady,

Oliviera

Assuming this will be our formation, with two holding midfielders, as AN seems to be preferring that at present. Unfortunately that means no place for Howson as he simply disappears when doing that role.

Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grubb.....Captain Flack, Windy Miller. Oh, and Mary, Mungo an'' Midge.......sorted......

Interestingly, not a single poster has included Naismith yet in his first eleven, and I think only one had him as even a sub. If AN continues to make him first on the team sheet, he is heading for a serious confrontation with the fans.

Gk - McGovern

RB - Pinto

LB - Olsson

CB - Klose

CB - Martin

CM - Tettey

CM - Howson

AMR - Canos

AML - Brady

AMC - Hoolahan/Pritchard

ST - Jerome

Get players playing in their natural positions and stop crowbarring players into areas they don''t want to be. Also recall Russell Martin so we''ve got a centre back who can actually pass the ball out from the back which has been a real issue already this season.

Do all of that and top 6 is a realistic possibility.

How about a change of formation to:

McGovern

Pinto, Bennett, Klose, Olsson

Canos, Pritchard, Tettey, Brady

Jerome, Oliviera

Considering he is POTS this thread shows how underrated Howson is.

He will be in the team.

When all fit this will be our best 11 Ruddy

Pinto, Bennett, Klose, Olsson

Tetty, Howson

Pritchard, Hoolahan, Brady*,

Olivier*** assuming he plays like he really wants to be here** assuming he can find the net frequently enough

Meant to have Howson in the 4 infront of Tettey in the first team

Howson is the best central midfielder we''ve got. It''s laughable that people honestly believe that Alex Pritchard (for all his undoubted quality) is equipped to play in a deep lying central midfield role in his place.

I think playing with Howson and Dorrans together in central midfield (whilst exciting) leaves you horribly exposed. The Liverpool and Newcastle games were massive illustrations of this where a lot of goals were scored by untracked midfield runners.

I really can''t stand Naismith, so if you are reading this Steven, yeah that''s right, you''re not even getting on the bench

but anyway, what do I know about football [8-)]
