Norwich agree fee for..

Recommended Posts

"Firstly, it is true Tshibola hasn''t set the world alight for long

periods of time, and is injury prone. But, when he has played he''s shown

the essence of a dependable and confident box-to-box midfielder,

straight out of the academy, and with great potential. £2m just does not

do this justice."
Sounds just like several we already have.http://thetilehurstend.sbnation.com/2016/6/19/11972916/norwich-city-reportedly-agree-fee-for-reading-fcs-tshibola

Not against this, but haven''t we quite a lot of "promising" youngster already and are we not quite well equipped mid-field wise? Including some with promise, eg. Madison etc.

If he''s as good as it seems £2m might not be a bad investment, but isn''t this a Premier League type signing with the future in mind rather than that of a team wanting instant success.

This banking of youngsters screams out as a fine future, but it''s now that we need a marquee signing striker and more in THAT position.

With all this promise in store we should be quite a force in the Championship .... in a few year''s time.

He rather sounds like GON''s younger/better replacement, to me - a position where we did have a gap; no complaints from me if it''s true. Where we''d get £2m from, though, is anyone''s guess given how skint we''re meant to be...

According to a report in the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa are interested in signing Norwich City’s Robbie Brady.

Norwich are reportedly willing to sell Brady, following their relegation from the Premier League.

The Canaries are reportedly looking to clear out some of their

higher earners, as they no longer have enough money to finance their

current wage bill.

Sell to buy and reduce the wage bill at the same time maybe .

Brady and Hoolahan played well yesterday, I thought.

They may do well to play Brady in a more central role.

They weren''t brilliant nor terrible, but too be fair Ireland were outclassed for most of the game. Brady had a couple of good runs and Hooli made a few poor choices, but we know they can be better.

No way can I see Brady heading to Villa, particularly if PL sides are remotely interested.

I very much doubt this stuff about not being able to afford our wages - it would suggest extremely poor financial planning by the very same FD guy who is now stand-in CEO; of course some players leaving is almost inevitable and they will likely be the highest paid.

We desperately need defenders and strikers, so of course our first signing is a midfielder. I don''t get excited about the club bringing them in anymore because we have so many.

Great signing if true and ticks all the boxes for the board - young, hungry, modest wages and can only improve and increase in value.

We will need another target man striker which will define our success next season.

Brady hasnt proven his PL consistency for even a West Brom type to fork out £12 million.

Klose will stay until January at least to prove his fitness.

Ryan Bennett and Seb Bassong will be as good as anything in the Championship next season as CD. RyBen could even be one of the best players in the league next season.

Finally, the younger players like Toffolo and the Murphy s can be given their chance and provide cover if needed.

You know how much of a step down in class the Champs is if that''s the case.

Looks a really good buy, along with Maddison. The club is looking towards the future, even without a CEO

Amazing that already there are complaints that we are strengthening the wrong area even though we have just lost a midfielder. Particularly with the moans about the non-activity last summer.

We don''t know who is leaving and who is staying at the moment. We are not getting rid of anyone else, it all depends on offers we receive. Mulumbu and Bassong are high earners so we are likely to keep them. Both of them could play a big part in getting us back in the prem.

Not according to Reading - several clubs including NCFC have made offers for this guy - all rejected!

Never heard of Mr Tshibola but if Alex Neil wants him, why are we doing the same thing as last year and offering half the asking price, then a bit more, then a bit more, then get outbid by a lesser club who offer the original asking price. Target your players, offer the money (we have got some) sign him up or tell us he didn`t want to come, simple.

Yes, dausy, tgat''s a great way to do business - if we continually want to get fleeced and pay over the odds for players and services. It''s a matter of negotiation - if we just paid the ''asking'' price (hard when there often isn''t one) we''d get a reputation for being a soft touch and end up always paying more than we need. It''s astonishing how people can''t see this - have you never bought a car, or a house?- both things that cost a small amount compared to an average footballer, but I doubt you''d just pay what was asked for straight up.

As always its nigh on impossible to guage any facts from newspaper rumours, but if there is any truth in the report that City offered maybe 1.5 or 2 mill for this young footballer, then its a derisory amount, no wonder Reading have rejected it.His value is not so much what he has done as yet, but his potential in the future. If you glean what the Thai owners of Reading have said, to the plans of Stam the new manager, and the fans them selves, the guy is more in the 7 to 10 mill bracket, despite how absurd that may seem to any of us. In that respect, and with Palace and Villa in competition, nothing under 5 mill is gonna get this  lad to Carrow Road.
