Dean Coneys boots 1,382 Posted July 25, 2016 Play two strikers up front. For season after season I have grown sick of the lone striker option. Two up front- the big and little combo is making a resurgence. Let us get with it. If we had done that in previous seasons we would have found space for Hooper and he would have scored- we could have got so much more out of Mbokani, Jerome and others. Please Neil. One up front requires a very specialist sort of player and is the main cause of our striker problems for many a season now.
Jacko 0 Posted July 25, 2016 Jerome largely played up front by himself in the Championship and scored 20 goals. I don''t see it as an issue. The reason we didn''t see the best of Hooper is because under 3 different managers, he simply didn''t work hard enough. He''s only got himself to blame for it not working here. Chemical Bro 0 Posted July 25, 2016 No more hoolahan then..... Our best player on form
Yelloow Since 72 53 Posted July 25, 2016 Hoolahn and Naismith offer better options behind than a second striker, IMO. Both will score a decent number of goals and make goals for others.
Move Klose 303 Posted July 25, 2016 Nothing wrong with 1 up top as long as your no10 and wingers are getting forwards, assisting and chipping in with a goal or 2.
Hairy Canary 628 Posted July 25, 2016 We only have one striker for him to play. I''m not counting Lafferty and RVW obviously
king canary 7,456 Posted July 25, 2016 Some people need to get over the idea that ''more strikers = more attacking.'' As others have said two strikers means one of two things....1) No space for Wes/Maddison/Naismith as they don''t fit into the 4-4-2 mold so well (although I guess you could use Naismith upfront)or2) Back to the diamond which means no wingers so no space for Canos/Murphy twins/Brady (if he stays). Dr Greenthumb 742 Posted July 25, 2016 Naismith has to be playing behind the striker, he''s going to be big this season
Six Pack 89 Posted July 25, 2016 Best position for Naismith is on the bench..not bench at the ground but on a greyhound bus out of Norwich.
Hoola Han Solo 448 Posted July 25, 2016 In Naismith, Hoolahan, potentially Maddison, we have some the best attacking midfielder options in the division. I''d rather we stick with one up top and utilise these players.
Horse Renoir 1 Posted July 25, 2016 After all those glaring misses, anonymous games, fitness issues etc people still somehow rate Hooper and think we should build a team around him? Ugh. He was given a chance, he played a similar amount of games in the PL for us as Morison did. Morison got 10 goals, largely playing up top on his own, Hooper got 6 while we sacrificed possession to accommodate Elmander for him. No on the 442 for me as well. Our CM''s for all their obvious qualities can''t impose themselves on and affect games enough for us to sacrifice that space in the middle, even in this league, we also don''t have enough pace or movement in the team. 442 is for fast counter attacking teams, we don''t play that way under Neil and to be honest, every time we''ve played 442 since Lambert left we''ve looked a really poor side
Norfolk Mustard 94 Posted July 25, 2016 Playing with only one striker is a bit boring at times. I could cope with watching 4-4-2 providing we win 5-4 every week...
daly 497 Posted July 25, 2016 Why not try a goalkeeper up front, AN tried every other option last season.Perhaps this season AN will know his best team before April 2017Get Steve Bruce now
