Alex Neil and the Team

Recommended Posts

City played well yesterday but overall they don''t have the bottle to fight to stay in the league, too many times do we give points to our rivals to help them on there way.

Alex Neil should be sacked if we stay up or not and if by some miracle we stay up if we keep him in charge, next season will be the same as this with no progress at all.

I know many people who want to blame the current board for this but the buck stops with the manager he picked the players he wanted to bring in and they backed him.

We need to move to the next level where the likes of West Brom, Swansea and Stoke are not this constant giving points away to our rivals and always looking at what teams below us are doing and just be a bit more comfortable.

If Neil could match to wages on offer to players at WBA, Swansea and Stoke then I think you would see us as comfortable as they are.

Let''s face reality.

We were the playoff promoted team.

We have the smallest wallet in the division.

Survival was always a tall order ... especially now that the quality of the NE clubs is coming through (Townsend & Defoe).

He''s no Paul Lambert but he''s given, and giving, it a right go ... but look at what he has to work with.

Championship budget (look at what Derby & Boro have been spending) = Championship squad = severe risk of Championship return.
