Rays Funds for the CSF with the Pink un Pickers Week 39

Recommended Posts

Welcome to week thirty nine of

our Rays Funds season. In charge of the six results this week we have The Great

Drinkell who’s another PUP who has been with us for the whole nine seasons.

Drinks usually provides a different value option with his picks so never figures

highly in the PUPs league. He is no less valuable for that though because we

always need a range of suggestions for the PUP in the hot seat. I’m really

looking forward to seeing what TGD comes up with this time. We need a change of

luck after the last couple of weeks and I have a feeling things will go our way

this week and Drinks will select a winning six  As ever we can all help by providing our very

best selections from the games played on Sat/Sun/Mon of this weekend that are listed

on the William Hill or Bet365 web

site.

I had hoped to have new recruits

to make the picks for our game at Arsenal and the Manchester United game next

week. It didn’t work out this time but thankfully Cityangel and NBS volunteered

to make the picks. This week it’s Cityangel who is going to select for our game

at The Emirates. Diane is well known to you all and it’s just typical of her to

volunteer to take on this difficult match. Diane’s already had a win on the

match bet but good as she is will need all our help to come up with options for

Saturday.

As you may have seen we had

another generous donation made during the week thanks to a deal with Arsenal

tickets that was brokered on this message board. I doubt there’s another

football board anywhere in the world with such a generous spirit of community.

We now have £99 in the presentation pot already after presenting £1500 earlier

this month.

We

have a signed shirt from the CSF as a thank you so I thought we could

run a Rays Funds for the Euros. It''s a fiver to enter with £2.50 going straight

into our presentation pot and you PUPs who enter each posting £2.50 worth of

pre-tournament bets. All the money won would also go to the presentation pot

and the shirt would go to the PUP who won most money. Entries could come from

anywhere in the world because if we don''t frame the shirt we can post it. If

you look on Bill Hill and Bet 365 you will see lots of options to choose from.

Tournament winners, group winners, top scorers etc. It can be a single £2.50

bet or even up to ten 25p bets. Please

indicate whether you would like to take part with this week’s selection. I need

to gauge interest because if there isn’t many takers I’ll think of another

competition for the shirt.

Finally, if you missed it

last week’s results mean that Norfolkbroadslim can’t be caught at the top of

our PUPs league and will be a worthy champion for this season. Congratulations

buddy, you’ve been immense all season and are a worthy champion! (And I love

Worthy [;)])

Now I’ll hand the thread over to The Great Drinkell and Cityangel. Remember

theres no pressure because we are

all going to be doing our best to help you to success. We all stand together

with the single aim of raising money for the Community Sports Foundation.

Good luck all you PUPs... take it away Paul and Diane ... the thread is

yours....... [:)].........

Blackpool vs Wigan - away win for me this week as they''ll look to take a step closer to sealing the league championship.

As for Norwich match bet, I think it''s about time Redmond got his name on the scoresheet - so Redmond to score any time.

Norwich bet over 2.5 goals

I like the odds of a home win for Lyon against Ajaccio. Lyon are still fighting for 2nd, Ajaccio are scrapping to stay out of the relegation zone, odds for a home win are 1/3.

For the Norwich bet, I think there will be plenty of goals, so how about one of those weird bets of over 4.5 goals or something.

Good luck to The Great Drinkell, Cityangel and all other PUPs

Congratulations to ''Slim for a fabulous performance this year, quite excellent picking....molto bravo 👏👌💰👊🏼

Off to Croatia this week and

Dinamo Zagreb vs Istra - Home win

As for the Match bet I feel that we''ll approach the game In one of two ways: either deep-lying eight-block defensive display and a bet on a nil-nil draw......or.....

We''ll take the opposite tack and play both Redmond and Hoolahan and look to create, find pockets, break beyond and retain possession wherever possible, whilst inevitably being open.

I''m going for the latter, resulting in a brave, exciting, heroic, but ultimately futile 2-3 defeat...

Parma 👏👌😘🎉👊🏼🍝💰🎼

Good morning to all my fellow pups and a big thank you for the now famous Nutty build up. Now as NN mentioned I always like to look for a little value as I have had numerous times where the "solid" favourites slip up. but winning money for the CSF is the name of the game and with this in mind I will be taking an approach of "ambition with caution"

I look forward to seeing more of your selections ( thanks to the early birds for theirs) and I will be posting the final 6 late on Friday night ( providing BT have connected me by then)

get posting Pups - your team needs you.

Good luck TGD & Cityangel.
Swansea - Liverpool to draw (at 12/5).
Like Parma I think the score will be 3-2 but to Norwich (at 66/1).  Sounds outrageous but I hope we throw caution to the wind and go for the result come what may.

Final round of fixtures in the National League for me..

Braintree          v            Altrincham          Home Win.

For our game it''s very difficult to make a choice being so emotionally involved. So I''ll just suggest that risking £1 on Norwich to win (9/1) would get back all of the stake should our dreams come true. Thanks again to Cityangel for bravely volunteering to take this one on.

Northampton to beat Luton for me please. For City''s game I''d like to know if you''re going CA as you''re something of a lucky charm! Otherwise I fear it will be Arsenal to keep a clean sheet.

Congratulations Norfolkbroadslim. We are all eternally grateful.

Thanks to all who have selected so far and for all the good wishes.

I will be back later to give the final six and I love Molly''s optimism and I just hope this one comes true ( although I fear the worse)

For the City bet I just can''t see us getting anything out of this game but with a hopeful heart I will go for Brady to score at any time.

Good luck CA.
