So it looks like a win for Swansea at 9/2 and it is all done and dusted. [:D][:P][;)]
You might want to keep an eye on the Benfica game should Swansea trip up.

If Norwich manage to win then Hammond becomes champ.A Swansea loss and Benfica win would see Tilly just above Cosmic Twin on the equivalent of goal difference. The female pups only need improve a slight amount next season to catch him!

Never mind Kev, you weren''t to know. We still have three options. Good luck with those MMMk and good luck to all you PUPs still going for it in the profitability league.

Hard luck to my competitors, there were a couple of close results and the final table won''t show how close it really was.

Well done MMMK. Over 2.5 goals and the returned stake on Mbokani means we add £6.42 to the presentation pot.

It''s been difficult to win with the Norwich games in a relegation season but you''ve all come up with some great strategies and we''ve managed to add £244 to the presentation pot. All this has been possible because of our anonymous benefactor and I''d like to take this opportunity to thank PUPanon for this continued generosity.

So with the £65 from Woosters acca and these winnings we''ve still added over £72 to the pot this weekend.

The profitability league has been a lot of fun this season. Thank you Parma for your help getting it off the ground. Our primary aim is to raise money for our wonderful DS guys but it''s great to have a bit of fun while we are doing it. I''ll confirm all the stats tomorrow but unless I''ve missed a big win somewhere this will be the top of the profitability table : -

PUP Wins Picks Win% Profitability
93Vintage Herediano W 22 41 53.7% 8.63
Lessingham  C WBA L 34 41 82.9% 6.83
Hammond1612 Norwich L 24 38 63.2% 6.53
Norfolkbroadslim Lyon L 38 40 95.0% 6.43
Til1010 Swansea L 34 41 82.9% 5.11

Still absolutely devastated by the Lyon result.  I feel like I have let the PUPs down because I was too risky with my picks.  While I know there are no guarantees no matter how safely you try to pick, I kept saying how risky end of season picking is and rather than trying to get a decent return, I took one risk too many.  I should have therefore played it even safer, even if it meant winning £30, which is still a great amount and would have been used well.  If I am ever picking the final 6 towards the end of the season again, I will definitely be playing it safer.Congratulations must go to 93v a great effort!  [Y]

You''ll be back in charge long before the end ''Slim because it''s customary for the reigning champion to pick the final selections for the first week of the season. And don''t be hard on yourself, look at the stats...

35 PUPs selected this week with 18 successful and 2 void (Man U). (55%). 28 different options with 14 winning and 1 void (52%). NBS had long since secured the title and his nearest challenger ended up being Parma who secured second place with his 20th consecutive winning pick. Been picking a bit under the radar this season and I think Parma will be a real contender next time. Here''s the final table. Those above the dotted line are the fab40 who will pick the final selections next season.

Most profitable pick this week was Wooster who selected a draw in the Watford v Sunderland game at 3.29. That means that Wooster finished the season in profit having picked draws for the vast majority of weeks. 93v is our worthy champion having stormed to the top with a 5.24 and held off all challenges picking correctly for the following 10 weeks.

Nutty,
When I made my nominations this week I failed to thank you for your running of this thread over the season, as many PuPs subsequently did.
So I''m taking the opportunity now to say thank you for the season and for the enjoyment participating each week (well almost) has generated this season, despite the fact that it happens to have ended in relegation.
One issue I want to raise is when you say earlier in this thread "So with the £65 from Woosters acca" you have omitted to take credit for 50% of the benefit which you created.  Just to be clear the bet generated £32.50 but only because of your doubling of the stake did it yield the benefits you reported.
Roll on the Euros ......

Congratulations to the worthy champions, think it was about right in both leagues, NBS just invincible, and 93v just kept picking stunners, well done guy''s.

Roll on the euro''s.

I think the only possible problem was that NBS was put into a bit of

a quandry where he needed a big odds pick in the accumulator. I''d

personally not want to be in that situation. However, I think things worked well in general with any one of six pups being able to win it going into the final week. If mine had failed and anyone else''s won, then they''d be champion. Well done again to everyone.FWIW, I''d be in favour of a later Saturday morning deadline for those picking the six (if individually feasable). More picks from those who find it hard to post on the Friday, and more games to choose from as bookies price up certain leagues later than others.
