nutty nigel 7,531 Posted May 11, 2016 Welcome to week forty one, thefinal week of our Rays Funds season. In charge of the six results this week wehave our newly crowned champion Norfolkbroadslim. ‘slim has three previousfinal six wins so I was really pleased I was able to give him a turn thisseason after he missed most of last so didn’t make the table. He’s made up foritthis year though having romped home in the PUPs league and now having a realgo at adding the profitability league attempting to be the first to “do thedouble”. Richard is really supportive on here to me and our great team of PUPsin everything we try to do. Having him in the hot seat this week really doesgive us a great chance of ending the season with a win. So let’s all help bygiving our best selections from the games played on Sat/Sun/Mon of this weekendthat are listed on the William Hill orBet365 web site. Making the choices for theNorwich bet we have another top PUP and top guy with Mandie Moo’s Mear Kat incharge. Nigel kindly agreed to do this at the BBQ last weekend. (Thanks Ben,DDD, we all enjoyed it even though it’s sad we won’t see so much of Leedscanarynext season.) Nigel’s on top form in the PUPs league and is a previopus winnerselecting the Norwich game options. Good luck buddy, you have a tenner to spendchoosing from the PUPs selections and your own. With this being the last week and the profitabilityleague being wide open it has been suggested that those who are going for itcould email their selections to me and I would put them all up at 7pm on Fridayto enable ‘slim to consider them for the final six, which is of course areprime reason for being. If you’d like to be part of this then email me yourselection canaryeddie@aol.com . Of course it’s still ok to post yourselections in the normal way if you prefer. I’llbe back in a couple of weeks with our Euro thread and I hope loads of you cantake part so we have a bit more fun and raise a few more funds for ourwonderful DS boys and girls. But this week I’d like to thank you all for yourhelp in the various ways we’ve raised money this season. You’ve all helped makeit so much fun for me to do and each and every one of you has made a differenceto our DS friends. I can’t wait for next season which will be our tenth!!Amazing stuff!! Ray would be so proud of you all. Now I’ll hand the thread overto Norfolkbroadslim and Mandie Moo’s Mear Kat. Remember there’s no pressure because we are all going to be doing ourbest to help you to success. We all stand together with the single aim ofraising money for the Community Sports Foundation. Good luck all you PUPs... take it away Richard and Nigel ... the threadis yours....... Mr Angry 1,555 Posted May 12, 2016 Just to make sure that I don''t accidentally win the profitability league I''m going for a home win for Bayern Munich against Hannover 96. For the Norwich bet, 2-1 to us.Good luck to all PUPs and especially NBS and MMMK.
Feedthewolf 4,846 Posted May 12, 2016 West Brom to beat Liverpool at 7/5. Liverpool will rest plenty of players ahead of next Wednesday''s Europa League final, and those that do play will be avoiding injury. West Brom could climb up to three places with a win, which is a decent incentive for them (as well as the obvious high of winning your last game of the season in front of your own fans). For the Norwich match, I''d keep it simple and whack at least a fiver on Norwich to win at around 3/1 if Martinez is still in charge on Sunday. If Martinez goes in the meantime, over 3.5 goals at 6/4 might be a good plan, as both teams will really go for it! wooster 134 Posted May 12, 2016 Good luck NBS & MMMK.I''ll be glad to end this season as I''ve only got 10/35 match picks right and only 2/25 for the Norwich game. Nevertheless the obvious bets this week are:Watford to draw with Sunderland, at 5/2.......... and Norwich to draw 2-2, at 12/1.
Hissing Sid 154 Posted May 12, 2016 First up, huge thanks to Nutty for administering another season of fun, games and a not inconsiderable sum of money raised. So, to business. The mayhem of the Play offs. League 1, where I''m going with..Bradford vs Millwall - Home Win (no form or stats with this, just going on a hunch!!)For the match bet, hoping City go out in a blaze of glory. HT/FT City/City.Best of luck (and congrats) to NBS, MMMK and all you PUPs.Roll on the Euro''s...

TIL 1010 4,738 Posted May 12, 2016 A very good evening to you Nutty and wishing both broady and Nigel together with all you other PUPs out there good luck for this final weekend.None of this cloak and dagger nonsense for me and throwing caution to the wind i am going to say a HOME WIN for SWANSEA v Man City. At odds of 9/2 that should put the cat amongst the pigeons. [:P] For the Norwich bet Mbokani to score the first goal of the game.
Van wink 2,994 Posted May 12, 2016 Chelsea home win v Leicester for me please.Redmond to score for CityGood luck pickers and well done to Nigel for a great thread in a great cause.

Parma Ham's gone mouldy 2,219 Posted May 12, 2016 Nutella, thank you for all you do to preserve and nurtured this thread. Ray''s Funds brings out the the best in the board and the Pups, you deserve thanks, recognition, satisfaction and ongoing support from us all. Off to Denmark this week for the Women''s Elitedivisionen:Fortuna Horring Vs Velje - Home winAs for the march bet there is every reason to feel that Norwich will continue to freely attack now that the shackles of expectation are off. I respect the work of Martinez, though can''t help feeling that they will play freely if he is removed in the interim. So either a high-scoring 2-2 draw without Martinez, or an exciting 2-3 win with Martinez still at the helm.Best of luck to deserved champion ''Slim who was streets ahead of all and also the Meerkat.....Parma ⚽️😻👏🍝🍻⚽️

norfolkbroadslim 223 Posted May 12, 2016 Thank you for the kind intro Nutty. I am really looking forward to this and I most definitely need all of the help that I can. I won''t be posting until late, it might be worthwhile asking Mrs Nutty to put horlicks on the shopping list Nutty, to give me as many options as possible. The end of the season is so unpredictable and in the Premier League anyone can beat anyone this season, so I may go for one or two, hopefully calculated longer or perhaps even very long odds, but I''ll see. So rest assured that I will consider each and every pick fully.Good luck everyone.[Y]
Lessingham Canary 99 Posted May 13, 2016 So here we are last week of a long season, Just want to say well done Nutty for doing an amazing job in pulling this together week after week, you are indeed a community hero, thank you (and thanks for inviting me to join, really enjoyed my first season)really is an amazing thing you do Eddie.I have chose to post my pick in the usual way, don''t want to lose sight of the fact that the most important part of this is to win money for a great cause, and for us all to help the pickers as much as we can, the tables are great fun and keep the interest going for the more competitive amongst us.I''m going to stay in the PL and going for West Brom to get a home win v Liverpool. For City I see a score draw.Good luck everyone especially our esteemed pickers, we are in safe hands this week more than normal, so lets finish on a high, and roll on the Euro''s. norfolkbroadslim 223 Posted May 13, 2016 Right, I have decided that I too will follow Maverick (aka Tilly) and post my pick on here along with my thoughts on the match bet. As that is 3 of the main players, whether that means another rethink for this season, I don''t know? However, irrespective of that, I''ll be posting my pick on here in the usual manner. We all stand together with the single aim of raising money for the CSF [:)][Y][Y][Y]
Molly Windley 76 Posted May 13, 2016 Atletico Madrid home win against Celta Vigo at around 10/11For the City game Lukaku to score in a 1-0 home win to Everton at 28/1 looks a decent priceGood luck to all
Platonic 1 Posted May 13, 2016 Sorry to have missed the last couple of weeks. I''m going for a Leicester win, and for the Norwich bet over 2.5 goals. Good luck all - lets hope the season goes out with a bang for the PUPs.
Crabbycanary3 994 Posted May 13, 2016 Plymouth to beat Pompey for me, and I like the look of a 2-2 for us at Everton.Hopefully, there is to be money made this weekend!. Good luck allLike to back Lessingham''s comments Nutty. An excellent job you have done, and thanks for all that you do with this.Where is the ''predictions for the Season'' thread that we all made at the beginning of the season, for our pledges? Kathy 733 Posted May 13, 2016 Where has the season gone? Doesn''t seem 5 minutes since we traipsed down to Carrow Rd to see Jerome''s fine overhead goal disallowed by that incompetent pillock Simon Hooper. For me this week I''d like to back Genoa (where I visited for Gazza''s wedding in September) to beat Atalanta. For City''s game a low key 1-1 draw. Hammond1612 92 Posted May 13, 2016 I''ve emailed Eddie my pick so for the match bet I''ll go for both teams to score. I''ve really enjoyed my first season and just wanted to say thanks to Eddie for organising all of this. As always good luck pups!
The Great Drinkell 50 Posted May 13, 2016 I Like Irony and can see Watford beating Sunderland just to really annoy us and Newcastle. And to cap it all I''ll work on the same basis and have Naismith to score at any time.A massive thanks to Nutty for keeping this thread going (with a little help from Leeds) and it just leaves me to wish the pickers the very best of luck this week and everybody else a happy close season. I look forward to meeting up again on this thread in the championship. http://services.pinkun.com/forums/pinkun-forums/cs/emoticons/emotion-22.gif
PurpleCanary 5,557 Posted May 13, 2016 Heartfelt thanks to nutty for keeping this wonderful fund-raising scheme going, and to all the PUPs who contribute their ideas and money. I watched the DS team play their Newcastle equivalent a few weeks ago, and it was a joyful occasion. Congratulations to Slim on winning the league, and to all those who understand the profitability table...To Australia, and the Brisbane League.Brisbane Lions to win at home against North Pine.Brisbane Lions, top, have a 7-1-1 and 23/8 record. North Pine, bottom, have a 2-0-8 and 16/39 record. The current odds are 1/8.---For the NCFC bet I like the ironic final-day nature of a scoreline of a 3-2 win for the Canaries, at 40/1.Good luck to all! 93vintage 16 Posted May 13, 2016 For the match bet I''d go with a 1-1 draw or 1-0 Everton win. Good luck MMMK.Good luck all, including NBS (good luck with the 6), Lessingham, Hammond & Tilly. Many thanks to Nutty as it''s a fair old job collating and entering everything into a spreadsheet, and pressing the right buttons to sort it all into a table each week. Well done to everyone who''s played this season.PS - Nutty, you should have mail!
Leedscanary 337 Posted May 13, 2016 Thanks Eddie for continuing to administer this wonderful thread.Good luck all this week. There''s usually a freak result in every season, so I''m going to have a crack at GRANADA v Barcelona HOME WIN 25/1 to see if I can steal profitability crown :-)For the City bet I''m having Mbokani to leave us on a high with a hat-trick 100/1Leedscanary
Mandie Moo 93 Posted May 13, 2016 MMMK - ABERDEEN -v- Ross County HOME WINMM - Reims -v- LYON AWAY WINI''ll be back later with Nigel''s Norwich bet selections - thanks to Eddie for letting him pick!!
Graham Humphrey 13 Posted May 13, 2016 As it''s the final week and mid-table obscurity is secured, what better way to round off the season than... Norwich to win at Everton (at least, we''d better given it''s a 7am start on the coach). This forces my hand for the match bet a little bit, so I''ll go for 1-0 to us.For the final time this year, good luck to all PUPs - looking forward to next season.
