BroadstairsR 2,273 Posted June 8, 2016 Kyle Lafferty has an injury in preparation for NI''s Euro.Bad news. We need him to put on a decent show in this tournament in order to maximise his value in the market. At the moment the Club has found it''s self in the un envious situation whereby we have three main strikers (excluding the youngsters) on the books two of them we want to get shot of.It is probably too much to hope now that they or even one of them will eventually come good. I realise that Lafferty has some support and that some still cling on to the hope that RVW will suddenly become a scoring phenomena in the yellow, but it is an expensive situation that hopefully will be resolved, one way or the other, by the beginning of next season. As things are at the moment our priority in the market has to be in the striking department. Let''s hope the scouting system has thrown up a few gems for AN to assess. They will need to be good for if they do not cut the mustard we will NOT succeed this coming season. Success = promotion. BroadstairsR 2,273 Posted June 8, 2016 He''s on the exercise cycle now, so it might not be too bad.He strained a groin apparently so it might not have been done on the training ground (smiley.)
BroadstairsR 2,273 Posted June 8, 2016 He''s in the shop window and there''s no such thing as bad publicity. It''s all over BBC news and sandwiched between reports of the police handcuffing an eleven years old and a race walker discussing his sexuality prior to his Olympic bid.It must be a slow news day, until, that is, the referendum speeches kick in.What is a race walk? Is it that event where they nearly run and we won a bronze with a chap called Matthews?
Chip20 69 Posted June 8, 2016 If he were to score some goals against decent-quality opposition could he possibly convince Alex Neil that he has a future here? Or has too much water passed under the bridge for that?I guess the fact he only scored the one league goal for Brum suggests he isn''t all that after all. It''s no use to NCFC scoring for your country (whatever the perceived level of opposition) if you can''t replicate it week-in and week out at club level. Buh 0 Posted June 8, 2016 I was pretty sure Kyle Lafferty was made out of diamond and shat gold bricks?Maybe that was Cody McDonald
Katie Borkins 1 Posted June 8, 2016 Lafferty will spearhead our attack next season, no question. Anything less than 18 goals, one new child and two further pregnancies and he''s failed.
AJ 1,358 Posted June 8, 2016 As he''s one of just three recognised strikers on our books at the moment, with the others being Jerome and RvW, I''d quite like him to do well in case we need him next season!
