This club can't progress until....

Recommended Posts

We are bought out by mega rich owners. Fair play to Delia, Michael etc but until we have an influx of money from a rich owner, we will bounce between the leagues for years to come.

Relegation is hard to take but unfortunately it''s the level we''re at currently. We are a top of the championship/bottom of the Premier League club. That''s not Alex Neil''s fault. The chance was there to stay up had we signed players last summer but alas, we left it too late.

We will come again. Hopefully with owners with slightly deeper pockets.

I''ve been so positive up until now mate but just can''t see where our points will come from. We seem to be treating Newcastle and Sunderland as guaranteed wins. Why? We haven''t won in two months...

It would be a fantastic result for the club, but alas the board has been set up for a smooth transition to Delias little nephew to run the club on a shoestring alongside Balls and MacNally for a long time to come.

I am envious of Everton.

We''ve played well in two games and with a bit of luck could have got something from both.

There is still time for things to swing our way, the performances are still there and we don''t look like a beaten side. KTF

The resources of our current owners are incompatible with establishing us in the PL. That the August transfer window was such a failure has led to our current situation. We will go down with Villa and Swansea unfortunately.
We are bought out by mega rich owners.
Careful what you wish for Rowdy, this from today........"Sky Bet Championship club Nottingham Forest have attracted more off-field turmoil after news emerged via The Independent, that the club have not paid players or staff for the month of February.

This is not the first time the club have been in the media for failing to pay their players, and it is thought that the shenanigans are beginning to frustrate and disillusion some of the top performers at the City Ground.

Current Forest owner Fawaz Al Hasawi currently operates without a

chief executive, following the dismissal of Paul Faulkner back in 2014,

and since then the club have been hit with a series of payment issues and winding up orders.

A once proud football club, Nottingham Forest fans are not likely to

welcome this news and fans have grown increasingly frustrated in recent

months with the club’s name being dragged through the mud.

The Reds are currently under a transfer embargo after falling foul of

financial fair play and this news is the latest in a long line of

comical admin errors from the Forest hierarchy."

"Kuwaiti tycoon clinches Nottingham Forest takeover

Nottingham Forest appear to be the latest English club to have been bought by

a foreign owner after Kuwaiti businessman Fawaz Al Hasawi claimed last night

to have finally completed his takeover of the club.

Al Hasawi, a member of one of Kuwait’s richest

families and who resigned as president of Kuwaiti club Qadsia earlier

this year, was granted a period of exclusivity by the East Midlands club

10 days ago while he carried out due diligence.

He has made no secret that he was aiming to buy a second-tier English

club, with the two-times winners of the European Cup having just

retained their Championship status and on the market since the sudden

death of owner Nigel Doughty in February.

Al Hasawi announced the takeover had been successful last night on his

Twitter account. “I can officially announce that the acquisition of Nottingham Forest is complete,” he said. His news was greeted with delight by the playing staff.

“Great news,” said striker Dexter Blackstock in a tweet of his own.

Need to move with the times. Football is now a mega rich owners play thing. To be competitive at this level we need that level of investment.

From what I''m hearing this morning there may be another level above this one before too long.

Not sure what our level will be then😄

There is no establishing ourselves in the premier league money or otherwise. Even throwing money at he situation a club the size of ours will never be able to not factor in relegation.

Seeing as how it looks likely that the big 5 may well soon leave the Premier League to set up a Euro league then we need to keep our powder dry for now as i suspect it will have long term negative financial implications to the rest of the clubs in England. We might actually get referees who don''t blatantly favour the big clubs then.http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/6969671/European-Super-League-summit-Manchester-United-Arsenal-Chelsea-Liverpool-and-Manchester-City-chiefs-in-secret-talks-to-leave-Premier-League.html

While I''m not writing this season off just yet, I think the OP has it pretty much spot on. Delia and Michael have been fantastic owners, but it''s obvious that we can''t compete financially in the PL and that''s going to mean relegation sooner rather than later. Even comparing us against the teams we came up with, both have more financial pull than us. It''s not just about fees and wages either, you can bet that players and agents see Norwich as a club that lacks the ambition to establish itself in the PL.

But why do you guys want to remain in the Premier League so badly when all it is these days is a competition between which owner has the biggest wad? If we were to get a rich owner, what happens come the day when seventeen other clubs all have richer owners than us again? Blame the wealthy owner for not being willing to sell to an even wealthier dude?

Until there''s some form of US style control there will never be a fair league.

Been saying for years that there should be a roster for 25 players for each squad with a budget of 50,000,000 on wages for every team.

Any player over 23 not included has the freedom to move during the summer, once end of July comes round all clubs should be made to submit there squads and no movements till the following summer.

All players up to 23 should be available only on emergency cover or to swap with current squad player.

Not sure how else you would ever make the league fair, but could you imagine the fuss of the top 6 clubs, they would be brought back down to a more even playing field.

Unfortunately I have to agree, now the greed goes even further......the Super league draws near, great get them all into a crap league where each team will be full of over paid tarts and the hard core fans could get our league and real football back.

i find champions league football mind numbingly boring, haven''t watched a game in years.

Would love for Sky to FO and football to go back to the game it was in the late 80''s.

It has become "user friendly" in so many ways, and if you look back at the standard of football offered up in this country back then, well it really wasn''t great. The blame lies with the FA, for letting Sky basically control the Premier league as its own, thats the real rub, we don''t own football any more, Sky do.

Yes sort of agree, but it could still be a family oriented product.

It''s got to the stage where it''s all about the money and that''s not good.

China appears to be the new premiership so who knows in a few seasons they might have the core of the best playing there as the money there is obscene.

This new football Eldorado might be sustainable, or it could collapse, or it could get saved from collapse by the government.
