Will Neil be sacked this weekend??

Surely the board have seen enough. This is worse that Peter Grants reign!!! Surely we have to at least try to stay up????

There is absolutely NO chance that will happen as long as David McNally is at this club.

It is hard to imagine any other manager being allowed to survive 1 point from 27.

That said, maybe the board know it is their fault and are therefore cutting him slack

Why would they sack such a fantastic young manager? After all, who else could we get that would be unable to keep a clean sheet away from home? Even the awful Neil Adams managed a team that kept a clean sheet in a Premier League match away from home!

He has performed dreadfully this season.

Mulumbu, Kean, Jarvis, Dorrans, Klose, Pinto, Naismith, Bamford, Andreu, Wisdom... 10 Neil signings that haven''t improved us.

He has continually criticised players in public killing their confidence, Redmond being a prime example.

He has continually pushed any blame away from his own head blaming players for "not carrying out his instructions".

He has continually changed lineups/tactics week in week out.

He has a firm set of undroppable underperforming favourites.

Slowly but surely has killed all confidence in our players.

Sack Hoots after 18 months, Appoint Adams, Sack Adams after 9 months, appoint Neil, Sack Neil after a year... the next joker comes in and doesn''t turn us in to Bayern Munich over night.. sack him after 3 games...why not give Neil another season at least to come back better.if he takes us up again he''ll be the messiah again won''t he?

Yes, he parked the bus against Chelsea and achieved a 0-0 in a game we needed to win.  Managerial genius.
You have less brain than hair.

Neil has to go, he has been awful this season, he really doesn''t have a clue. I feel for him, but his form speaks for itself. Get rid.

Similar to last time they''ve probably left it too late.

It''s a bad run, but the summer transfer debacle trumps it for me. The two could even be related as we were forced to sign too many new faces in Jan.

I don''t really know

I have now seen and heard enough. AN has to go.

We have a better team than previous years yet the management skills are woeful. No excuse.

1 point from 27, same mistakes week in, week out, doesn''t learn from his mistakes, truely shocking subs and in game tactical changes (if there are indeed any), constant tinkering, chopping and changing week in week out, yet again outdone by an opponent''s substitutions and tactical changes (Fer assist).  Absolutely no evidence anywhere of this good manager, who is learning and  who will  be able to get us winning games regularly in the Championship. We were rubbish today, very, very weak in attack, it was like watching a Hughton team at their very, very worst.

Must win game that we never looked like scoring in , Neil has been abysmal and i doubt starting from scratch he could do any better in the Champs , he really should be sacked we would have a better chance of staying up if Hughton was still here . I suppose the big attraction for the City Board is he is more than likely as cheap as chips .

It is possible of course. Even with the recent "vote of confidence " from McNally

Come on, yes it was poor, but saying it was like watching a Hughton team at its very worst is just blasphemy. At least we attempted to win the game. Hughton wouldve settled for a narrow loss.

I have no problem sticking with the manager but the transfers since he became manager seriously needs looking at, it''s become clear over the course of the season that our best players are still the same ones that were our better players last time we got relegated. The only AN signing who has so far looked a step up is Brady. Only the people inside the club know if AN has lost the dressing room or if it''s just the players are not good enough.

Does anyone seriously have faith in our calamitous board!? They will do nothing until it''s too late as per. Much like Alex Neil''s substitution strategy (ala Chris Hughton). One thing is certain, the Newcastle fans and board won''t sit back and accept relegation. McLaren will be gone in the next 48 hours giving them hope. Unfortunatley once again at NCFC all hope is gone.

It''s alright saying "give him another season to take us up again"..

...but he could just as easily become Nigel Worthington mark II.

If the players have lost belief in him this season would he be able to get the same players playing for him again next season?

Why ever did we let him go?.....

Oh yeh I remember[/quote]Well I''m pleased you find this funny.  No one is saying bring Hughton back or that he shouldn''t have gone, egit.

I think you will find that we operate with a transfer board, headed by McNally and including the head scout, so it''s not all down to the manager! But that said, he doesn''t get the best out of what he has got!
