Rays Funds for the CSF with the Pink un Pickers Week 34

Recommended Posts

Welcome to week thirty four of

our Rays Funds season. This week we have Hector Brockelbank in charge of

the final six. Hector’s been on top form this season with 21/24 88% correct

selections and is currently on a winning run of 9. Hector won with his final

six last year. I remember the thread and us having a lot of PUP power willing

on, I think it was
Nijmegen,

to complete the six. So Hector’s in form and has got form so he’s well up to

the task this week. Bu
t’s a big ask as it’s not only Easter

weekend but also an international week with very few competitive internationals.

There are some North, Central and South American World Cup Qualifiers as well

as international friendlies. And of course there are lower leagues in England,

Scotland and elsewhere in Europe. But most of our usual hunting grounds are

unavailable to us. Please be careful not

to include Good Friday games when selecting. To give Hector and me the most

time possible when selecting please choose as usual from the games played on
Sat/Sun/Mon of

this weekend that are listed on the William

Hill or Bet 365 web site.

There’s obviously no Norwich

game this weekend so we can concentrate all our efforts to help Hector. Mr

Jenkins has confirmed to make these picks for the Newcastle game and here’s the

rest of the rota for the next few weeks. Please let me know if the week is ok

along with your selections : -

Now some exciting news! Before the Newcastle game on April 2nd the DS guys play their Newcastle

counterparts at Carrow Park in a small sided friendly match.

Planned kick off is 1pm. Our CSF contact Emma has invited as

many PUPs as possible to come along and cheer them on but also take part

in a small presentation with the participants on the Carrow Park pitch, planned

at approx. 2pm. The DS boys and girls, Emma and myself would love as many PUPs

as possible to be there for the presentation. And if you can get there in time

to see some of the football I promise you it will be a memory you will cherish.

This morning I received an

anonymous donation of £100 to add to our presentation pot. This takes the total

for next week to an amazing £1477. That’s

a brilliant total thanks to you brilliant team of PUPs. It also takes the total

money raised over the years past £5000. That’s amazing! I know Arrdee would be

so proud of you all.

I hope all you PUPs have a

fantastict Easter. If I could just ask you to save me your empty Easter egg

cartons because I promised all the grandkids an eggsbox for Easter…

Now I’ll hand the thread over to Hector Brockelbank. Remember theres no pressure because we are all going to be doing our

best to help you to success. We all stand together with the single aim of

raising money for the Community Sports Foundation.

Good luck all you PUPs... take it away Oliver ... the thread is

yours....... [:)].........

Australia a league. Adelaide United to beat Central Coast Mariners. Should be a pretty straight forward victory.

Bit of a tricky week Hector, though no doubt you''ll find some gems..Like the look of:

Russia vs Lithuania home win...

Russia have a deep squad of good players, with some genuine quality. The Russian league also has a good approach to tactics and structure.....

Parma 🇮🇹👏🍝🎼🎉👌💰🍲🛩

I know Friday night games are off limits, but what about those that kick off in the early hours of Saturday morning?I''m looking specifically at the USA to win in Guatemala in a World Cup qualifier – kick-off is at a rather niche 2:06am, and odds are 1/3.If I can''t choose that one, Tranmere to win at Kidderminster on Easter Monday at 8/11.The very best of luck to you, Hector, on what is always a challenging weekend.

Internationals always feel a little bit like sticking a pin into the fixture list, but from what little I know I would suggest Poland to beat Finland seams reasonable, given the latter''s last win was a fairly lame 1-0 against the Faroe Islands..

A smidge shy of £1500 for our latest bankings is incredible, well done Nutty for continuing such a good thing for such a good cause. What a great season we''ve had so far.

This week I''m going with Burton home win.

The early Sat am games are ok as long as Hector can post his six by 11pm Friday evening. So I''ll leave that to him.

Although not many Monday games are listed on Bill Hill yet there are more on Bet 365. Those games are fine and I expect them to be listed on Hills before Friday evening. But even if not we can place the bet on Bet 365 this weekend.
